There's a few issues with the twisted above. I've tried just about every build possible on the V, its a great addy, but thrre are some builds that just don't work as well as others.

First, what guage is that wire? The thicker the wire, the longer it takes to heat, and the less vape/flavor gets produced. Its hard to tell, but I'd guess its a twisted 28. When I ran a twisted 28, I had a massive flavor drop. I won't twist again unless I go with a thinner wire. Other things some of the others hit on, too much wick. Dont pack the bottom. Just enough to touch, maybe a bit more. Also pull the coil/ wick a little forther from the air hole. The diameter looks pretty big too. That in itself won't hurt your flavor, but when you fill the larger coil with cotton, you are again restricting airflow. If you look at some of my various builds here, I rarely stray from a 2mm inner diameter. Its the sweet spot for me. I tried building a 1mm today, but I ended up bending my mandrel pretty bad adjusting things and just ripped it out to go back to a 2mm.

I've since stopped messing with it. Ordered a couple other atomizers, one rda and another rta. It's just too much of a pain to be any fun, and it seems super limited. This is my personal opinion, or first impression if you will.

I'm going to keep it around and might have another go at it down the road. I do appreciate the help nonetheless.

I could be wrong, but I think it's the air coming through the extra length of the center block that helps keep it a tad cooler than other attys. What ever the reason, I've read several posts where they say it doesn't get as hot as their other drippers. That's a plus for some and a con for others.

The great thing is, there are so many to choose from anymore. The bad thing is, there are so many of the newer ones that still have issues lol.

What do you have coming?

Fogger v5 clone and 454 big block clone. I haven't turned on the Veritas completely, sometimes you gotta step away from something and come back later.

I hear that. My first build in my veritas left a sour taste in my mouth. Not literally lol. But once I found my perfect build, it's become probably my favorite atty. All of its features work together perfectly. So yeah, give it some time and come back to it.

I pulled out my dual verticals, I liked it a lot, but at 0.65 it was a little too hot for an all day thing, and it went through juice like crazy. Put in a single horizontal 1.3ohm coil and it's good, but I went a little too high. Vapor production is still great, but the flavor is a little lacking. Going to try to take off a few wraps, from 10 to probably 7, see how that goes.

I recently sent a Reos VV Grand back to the 'Spa' to have the Mod looked over by the man who made it, and while it was up there I asked to have the Juice Well planed down to make it a Low Profile VV Grand. While looking for new attachments, I came across Catfish Atty Mods, and purchased a Ehpro Veritas that has been converted from a dripper into a Bottom Feed RBA. Just got it set up last night with a single 1.7 horizontal coil, directly in front of the air port. Very Nice ! Right now I'm using the lowest Voltage (3.5V) and only have maybe a third of the VAF open, yet this thing still pumps sweet, flavorful vapor - and lots of it ! A wide-bore drip tip would probably be the finishing touch on what is rapidly becoming my favorite 'At-Home' Mod :2cool:

Pop, you should post some pix of the feed channel.

Interesting choice for a BF, are you squonking just enough to wet the wicks, or are you filling the whole thing up to cover the coil too? I guess a squonk and tilt(airhole up) wouldn't be too bad?

My photography isn't the best, but....
In the first picture, you might be able to see the feed port directly below the coil at the base of deck. There is a very small groove cut through the threading where the positive post screw is located - not in the screw but in the female thread of the Veritas. You have to look very carefully - it's that small of a passage for the e-liquid to flow up through. A second, slightly larger whole is drilled from the back to where you see in the first picture, then the back of the hole is plugged with a screw set.
In the second picture, I was hoping to show how I leave my wicks long enough to reach towards the back corners of the juice well. That way I can just squonk as I normally would with a Reos, and the wicks stay moist and raise the liquid to the coils.

What is sqonking exactly. ..?

In vaping it refers to pressing the juice bottle to force liquid up into the atty from a bottom feeder like the Reo. Urban Dictionary says: ... the characteristic vocal sound of yaks. "Squonk" said the yak, happily. The sheep were baaing, the cows were mooing, the yak were squonking. by leslieknope ... , so it may refer to the sound, not that it sounds like a yak, but then again, I don't know what a yak sounds like lol.

Welp, no more building for me for a bit. Somehow, my plume veil created a short in between last night and today. Long story short, I had it cook off in my hand and my stingray launched into, the ocean like a 22mm rocket. I've been contemplating getting a regulated box mod. Now, I'm pretty I'm pretty sure in getting one.
