Well, as threatened earlier, I tossed a mesh build in my Veritas. The 1:1 from FT comes with a little piece of mesh, so I figured I might as well try it. SS to me is a clean taste and my gripes with it were more about it cooking my juice and keeping it going in the pita chid I had at the time.

Long story short, it went well and performs just fine. Coil came in at 1 ohm and the (I think) 600 mesh wicks really well. For the mesh fans, this is certainly a viable option if they want a dripper that holds a little juice to go along with their tanks.

As for me, I think I like it just as well as cotton, but not any better. I honestly can't tell 2 cents worth of difference between this and my other one with a 1.2 ohm coil and cotton wick. Comes with having tired old burnt out taste buds I guess lol.

One thing I have noticed though is how clean the coil is staying. I've vaped at least 7 to 8 ml through this and there's not a speck of gunk on the coil so far.

Put in a hollow coil. 28g 1/16" ID, 1.3Ω . Works well, could stand to be a bit lower Ω, but the flavor is good. I think it's a little more focused than a standard horizontal coil of this resistance would be.

Good lookin' coil there. I'll bet it would work great with a v v / v w device as well.

My second V is back in the box to be shipped back to FT. The top insulator was stripped from the factory. I tried to get them to send me a replacement but they said they couldn't so I'll send this one back for a refund. Meanwhile, I've already got another one on the way. :vapor:

I have noticed the coil gunks up in about half the time as a regular coil.

I'm just guessing here, but my guess is that the wick is acting like a insulator to keep the coil warmer after each vape, allowing the gunk to collect on the coil a little more. If you could vape some and release the fire button before stopping your draw, it might prove something lol.

But naay, that sounds like more trouble than it's worth lol. I guess the question boils down to, is the flavor increase worth the extra wick changes?

Hey guys does the authentic Veritas come with a drip tip? Thinking about getting one but need to know if I have to buy a drip tip also. If I need to buy one, could you recommend a common bore size? I'm not a cloud chaser. The only thing I use is a Kayfun lite. I'll be using the Veritas with a single coil at a max of 20watts and no lower than .7ohms (provari P3). Thanks.

I assume the authentic comes with a drip dip but don't etch it in stone. And it is likely a wide bore. As for the best one, that is a personal preference. I don't like wide bores but you will find plenty of people who do. If you like lots of air and big clouds then wide bore would be your choice. If you like a tighter draw with more flavor then a small bore would likely be a better choice for you. Try your Veritas single coil at varying power levels to see where you like it most. Everyone is different.

My tobeco veritas came with no drip tip.

The creator of the veritas said in his youtube vid how much he likes this vicious ant drip tip (I believe it's the pharoah). And he's right, it looks amazing on the veritas.

So much so that the moment I saw the clone of it pop up on ft, I scooped an SS one and a black one. Both look smashing.

This one also looks great on the 'tas

That first one would look great on the v.

Here is that first FT tip on a 1:1 tobecco veritas:

I much prefer this one both for comfort and looks:
