I'm just guessing here, but my guess is that the wick is acting like a insulator to keep the coil warmer after each vape, allowing the gunk to collect on the coil a little more. If you could vape some and release the fire button before stopping your draw, it might prove something lol.

But naay, that sounds like more trouble than it's worth lol. I guess the question boils down to, is the flavor increase worth the extra wick changes?

eh, doesn't seem worth it. I think there's another horizontal, maybe a vertical build, in my near future.

Try a diagonal build, as it shortens the legs just a tad and you can still run both wick ends down in the wells. Well I guess you could do that with a vertical build as well but I'm not sure if it would still wick as good.

December 23, 2014 , 1:31 pm Processed Through Sort Facility SHENZHEN EMS, CHINA
December 29, 2014 , 11:36 am Delivered, In/At Mailbox

All the way from Shenzhen, China in 6 days ??? That must be some sort of record lol. Anyways, my third Veritas 1:1 from FT is here (replaces the second one which had to be sent back because of striped threading on the top insulator.) Machining is excellent and it was clean as a whistle, no odors, but alas, does have a broken o-ring. I gave it a bath, slapped in a 1.1 ohm diagonal single and went to making clouds lol. :vapor:

That is fast. My last shipment from FT took alomst 3 weeks

My last one I paid the extra buck or so for tracking with usps and it took 10 days, this one I paid the same but choose China post just to see if there was a difference. It could just be a fluke but I'll be oping for China post for my next order lol.

This one also came through Chicago, IL, took 3 days to get to Chicago and 3 to get to me. Last time was 5 days to Chicago, and 5 days on to me.

Not sure how china post would affect tge domestic shipping

Me neither. I guess it could on the China end if it's a different terminal or something, but not at Chicago I wouldn't think. My understanding is that the free shipping from FT goes out standby so I can see where that would be pretty slow in the busy season, so that's why I paid a little extra for tracking.

Thanks to a tip from Kemosabe, I picked up a hybrid adapter for my brass nemi on my last order. With a 18500 battery, it's now 4 and a half inches long, including drip tip. I think I'm just being mental but I swear it seems like there's a noticeable difference for the better with the adapter. It's changing from two connections to one, but I wouldn't have thought the difference would be noticeable.

Another benefit though, is that I can now unscrew the nem in the middle or unscrew the switch for battery replacement. Me likey. :vapor:
Always before, I had to take off the atty and back out the center pin a tad because it would just bind up if I tried to unscrew it without doing that first.
