So I got the Veritas and gave it a good bath and set it up with a 28 ga twisted @ .8 ohms (single coil). I loaded it with a proven juice and to be honest I'm disappointed with the overall experience.

I find it way to airy even with the hole in back mostly closed. Once it's shut down there is no dripping from that hole, it becomes a top dripped. Now maybe it was my build but the vape have the flavor or production I antisaped. It didn't even come close to the new Viking I just picked up. I did pick up those thumb screws in the link. While they are a little pricey that make building real easy.

As with many RDAs, I find that a slight tweak here or there, or even a slight misstep can make or break this atty. Not saying it will be for you, but for someone that has had this atty since it came out and done numerous builds on it, it never ceases to amaze me how one little thing, often unknown, can take this atty from a dim vape to glowing. I will also say that the airhole works best while open all the way -- I don't even consider it to be a adjustable airflow. Good luck.

I imagine you did the Faceless build on it? Can you take a pic of your build?

Mr. Mann, thanks for the reply and you are absolutely correct about the little things making a difference.

I'll open its grab a pick but it directly in front of the air hole. It's a nice tight twisted 28.

The legs going to the center post may be long, I planted that leg between the two thumb screws but other than that I can't figure out why this dripper isn't kicking like a mule.

I generally have mine to the left and right of the air hole, but not directly in front. One thing I do slightly caution with this RDA -- the normal rules only *kinda* apply. Sure, no hot legs, no shorts and all that jazz, but things that generally make sense don't necessarily fall in line with this booger. Oh, I juts read that you are doing a single coil, I would suggest still running a similar res, but in dual coil (maybe use 30 gauge) and have the coils "V"ed out from the airhole using the Faceless build.

Thanks. I did go with the rules that have worked for me in the past. On my Viking the coils are right over the airflow and the vape is as close to perfect as you can possibly get in my book.

Here are a couple images. Please give me your thoughts.

Also I like a cooler vape, looking for flavor and not clouds. The twisted .8 ohm normally produces great.

Fisrt thing I notice is that you are building a "microcoil" type coil in the sense that the coils are close and touching. For me, a regular uncoiled looking spring type of coil works best.

I don't know if you've seen this, but this is exactly how I build mine (though I use more wraps), even if just building a single coil.

Is this atty for a flavor chaser, cloud chaser, or someone that wants a hassle free dripper?

I'd say flavor-chasing and hassle-free, though it can produce clouds. But, the "hassle-free" aspect is ONCE you get it set-up nicely -- prior to that, it can be a pain finding your sweet spot.

No I haven't seen the video, thank you!

If you don't mind me asking, how many wraps, what gauge wire and where do you end up in the way of ohms.

And most importantly I appreciate you sticking with my post. It's very cool of you to help me find this drippers sweet spot.
My single coil isn't twisted, but micro ~1.2ohm's, directly and very close to air-hole. Flavor is good. I find I really am preferring it with airflow half open, good balance of flavor and clouds. Bear in mind a single coil is my norm on the patriot atty that I was using and this atty blows it away.

I really love the inside of this dripper but can't get past the cap, I really hate it!! could someone do a compatibility test with other caps on this deck?
this is what I have to work with
omega
igo-w
nimbus
tobh

if there is another that fits I could get the clone just to use the cap for this

thanks!

Anyone getting a sharp/hot hit from theirs? Just got mine last night. I don't have any hot leads and it's just a single vertical 28g build. .7 ohms 21 w

This is the standard build across my atty's but this has a really sharp hit on the Veritas. On the magma the same build is smooth as butter. Maybe move the coil away from the air hole? Anyone else?

Had some issues with a metallic nasty taste with my first few builds on my EHpro clone. Soaked in hot water, used baking soda to clean it, used dish washing soap even boiled it. Finally I narrowed it down to the air hole, I stuck a twisted paper towel down it and twisted it. There was some machine grease still left in it.

I'm loving the flavor, my only issue is that the top is not sitting down flush. Looks like the O rings are too large. Will try with another set of O rings tonight.

I had a few hot legs when i first built on it. other than that it has been flawless. I am using 26g. maybe that helps. Not sure what else could be your issue. I have my coil millimeters away from the hole so i dont think that is your issue. I say rebuild it and make sure you dont have any hot legs before you wick it. Sorry i couldnt be more help. good luck
