Well, color me impatient...
I went ahead and rebuild it.

Wrapped it the "other" way and it definitely made securing the coils to the posts much easier.
Moved them more centered as well. Left the leads this time till I had it where I wanted it before clipping so I could give and take where needed. Its still not perfect, but were getting there.

To be honest, I feel like the single .7 horizontal coil had better flavor than this .5 dual vert, but she definitely chucks more vape. Much warmer too.
Ill probably try a few more tweaks to the verts and if flavor doesnt improve (the single hor was top notch) I may try a twisted horizontal.

I think the massive amount of air flow massively dilutes flavor...YMMV...

I wouldnt call it massive. Its got a large 3mm airhole, but most RDAs out there now have much higher airflow. I havent built a plume, so not sure about that one, but the stillaires airflow is much much higher than this one, and then theres the mutationX.

FWIW, my favorite build on the Veritas so far (I've only built two) is a dual 28ga, 2mm ID, 9 wraps at 0.7Ω. It gives more coil surface for the .7 and has very quick response time.

I seem to have wrapped it in the same direction as you, though I don't remember paying that much attention. I used a coil Gizmo to wrap the coils in opposite directions before mounting it on the atty.

Finally broke down and bought a 510 ohm reader. Guess Ill throw the DMM back in the garage. Grabbed some 26g while I was there (not that it was a pitstop, I was vaping there for 2+ hrs). Gonna rebuild it tonight. Got some new mandels im gonna use so im not certain where theyll end up, but im shooting for a 6 wrap .35ish ohm build.

Oh, the current build pictured above came in at .55 for those interested.

Heres my first attempt at dual Vertical coils.
Ive been using a single horizontal build, but in my increasing desire to drop the resistance, I was getting into too many wraps. I like a wider diameter for easier wicking, and my last .7 build was only 4 wraps.

I dont have my DMM today and I dont trust the one I have here at work so Im not certain what the resistance is. I believe its in the ballpark of .5-.6 ohm.
6 wraps of 28g kanthal. It didnt end up quite where I wanted it, but I already clipped the leads so I didnt have alot of wiggle room. Ill be moving the coils closer together over the air hole for the next build. Nevertheless, the vape is warm, flavorful, and plentiful.

Is that one continues wire?

In my ever growing search for "the" build that combines the best flavor, with the most vape, ive rebuilt again.

This one is a dual horizontal coil, wrapped in tandem. 28g, 3mm inner diameter, .53ohm. It performs about identical to the previous .55ohm dual vert build.

So far, the best flavor I've had was a 5 wrap single horizontal coil at .8 ohm. I was hoping this build would replicate its flavor, but nothing has come close to bringing out all the complexities in the juice.

I have some 26g wire I haven't used yet, but I may just go even thicker to a 24 or 22 and rebuild that 5 wrap. I'm trying to keep it around .5ohms, but reproduce the flavor. Ill keep posting my builds here till I get it where I want.
