 OMG, I guess I'm really ANCIENT!!!!! They were $.35 a pack when I started

$.35 a pack was probably what they were when I said that, I had started a little before then. :) So we are probably about the same ancientness( I doubt that is an actual word).

Remember the Green Lucky Strikes? $.10 a Pack
I'm 70, and can remember running to the corner store in Baltimore to buy them for my Mom. Didn't show an ID either. LOL

Yep, all I had to take was a note from my mom to buy cigs. Were those the "good ol days"?

now see it was over than a blow hard come in to run his mouth again aren't you the same one that riped apart the lt 1.5 saying the voltages are all wrong when you where the dumb ... using a volt meeter that doesn't work on them because of diff system in them

How wrong you are!! Had you read my full analysis you would know the volt meter did work with the numbers backed up with a VOM and has proven beyond a doubt that all of the Lavatubes V1.5 and V2 that were represented as 4 amp were in fact 3amp units. Due to my experiments many past and future purchasers are now aware there are no 4amp LavaTubes available as yet and at least one vendor is offering a full refund to anyone buying what they thought was a 4amp unit from him.

You really should check your facts before making such an insulting statement.

If you are interested in the truth you can find most of it here.

I'd say really... :D

To me, "back in the day" means a really long time ago when prices were really cheap compared to today... Of course for me, that means a pack of Marlboro's were around .50 a pack.... a gallon of gasoline was somewhere between .25-.30 cents a gallon...

Currently that same pack of Marlboro's is about $5 bucks here and the gas, starts somewhere close to $3.50 ( recently down from around $3.75 )

SO YES.... REALLY!!!! :D

Hmm guessing that also puts you back in the 45 and 78RPM days. Doubt many here even know what that's in reference to. :)

Great post Briar, I needed that smile. :)

Oh, my... Good old days. I feel like an old fogey-ess. LOL When I started smoking, a pack of Mores (yes, I stared with those stinky cigar-smelling thingies) was something slightly over 2 bucks. Honestly don't remember what the gas was back then - I didn't drive until I turned 25. This was 1978, and I was 17. My girlfriend, who smoked like a chimney already at that age, talked me into it, and seeing how I had just come to this country from Russia, and was depressed out of my wits by my introduction into the wonderful world of the senior year in Teaneck High, NJ, I succumbed just for the hell of it. The worst decision in my life. The second worst was marrying a weak-willed amoral doink. Truly, judgement is often lacking at that age. :D

Now a pack of premium cigarettes (I smoked Capris before I stared vaping - still have one or two every two weeks or so) costs 11 bucks around here, which was *the* reason I quit smoking. I honestly gave up on my health by now. LOL

Not sure how well the money-saving thing turned out. I'm afraid to count all the cash I spend on vaping stuff. When GV calculated how much everyone spent for their discount categories, I almost fainted. But, wth, vaping is a lot more *fun* than smoking, and smells a lot better. One of the best things about it is that my house doesn't smell like stale smoke, and my dog doesn't have asthma attacks any more.

P.S.: Oh, and my dog, in addition to breathing better, also *smells* better. I am one of those strange people to whom the smell of a clean and healthy dog is actually pleasant. But doggie smell with stale smoke mixed it (fur traps smells like you wouldn't believe)? Not so much. My dog (a German Shepherd) sleeps with her .... on a pillow right next to my head. It was like sleeping with my nose into an ashtray.

You know, to this day this makes me furious - so angry, I could break something heavy over someone's head, if I knew who.

If it was illegal for me to buy cigs at that time, and if IDs were required, I would never have bought that first pack. I'm pathologically law-abiding. Comes from my background - and it was especially so at young age.

I was a child back then. Stupid, depressed, naive child. If there is ever an argument for the state acting as a "nanny", that is certainly a proper circumstance...

I used cigarettes as an anti-depressant, but I never would have done that if it was illegal. Case in point: drugs. I was offered drugs so many times back then, I lost track. People my age and older pushed them on me, even bullied me to take them, and I never did - because I knew they were illegal... I was too scared, and I knew it wasn't "right". Cigs, on the other hand... And I was addicted in a week. No kidding.

since we've already established I'm ANCIENT, yeah, had a whole stack of 45s ;) Hated it when I couldn't buy singles anymore.:(

Anybody tried using the metal tubes with their vivi nova yet? I got one so I could vape cinnamon, just haven't got the juice yet.

Personally, I don't think there is anything wrong with critical opinion, as long as it's well thought out, polite, and, hopefully, constructive...

And it doesn't seem to me that Danno and Bad object to it either.

But what bothers the *heck* out of me (and this does not apply to you, this is a general opinion), is when critical statements become innuendos, unfair generalizations, and unreasonable accusations. It bothers me even more when people become rude. Frankly, I think that posters who use three and four letter words to denigrate either people or even products, resort to name-calling, and otherwise become disruptive, should be banned from this forum without warning, in exactly the same manner as I would ask a guest who behaves that way to leave my home.

And what is really unfair is that when the hosts of this forum reply to these provocative statements in the manner that they deserve, they are accused of bad customer service. I've seen this happen again and again over the time I've been here, and I don't know how Chris and Danno have the patience to put up with it, frankly.

I know the best way is just to ignore these people, but sometimes what happens is so blatantly unfair, it's hard to stay out of it.

It's not easy being green. LOL

For clarification's sake...

I am a happy, long time GotVapes customer, even though I am rather unhappy with my Vivi Nova purchase. A lot of the fighting over this thing is quite un-needed and unnecessary. The stupid thing costs what we would have paid for three packs of analogs back in the day. Not a big purchase and not a big hit to take when it doesn't work as advertised. Keep it in perspective!

I still stand by what I said about product testing being done prior to the hype being started.

I sure hope none of the nay-saying around here was aimed my way for stating my rather invaluable opinion on the subject. If it was, you can get over it. Preferably sooner than later.

That said, I appreciate the fact that GotVapes is one of the primary places I look for new gear. You guys are the cutting edge. I suppose along with that comes the previously mentioned hype without proper analysis. I can totally dig that! Thanks for doing what you do guys!!

Nope....got a couple in my shopping cart...just waiting for the new Vivi Novas to show up. I don't need them for the cinnamon or other caustic juices.....just like the way they look. I have tried a juice with cinnamon recently.....redhots combined with chocolate. I like it....but can only do a few hits of it before I have to switch to something else. Currently have it in a phoenix, which seems to be totally unaffected by the cinnamon.

Your understanding is correct however after reading Carltons comments I'm not sure my VOM is giving me good information due to the PWM circuitry. At this point all I'm reasonably certain of is the 4.9V max on the Echo when set at 6v (12.6watts 2.57amp). On the V1 LT 4.5v (10.7watts 2.37amp)

V1.5 on a 1.6ohm DC Vision Clearo 4.35v (11.8watts 2.72amps). On the V1 LT it is 3.9v (10watts 2.58amp)

My only clear conclusion is it is short of being a 3amp unit.

and you deleted the other going on and on about you sent 2 units back before they told you
