Oh and for the record even though I've already apologized for this misunderstanding as well, I've also got no problems with Got Vapes. None of this is their fault and I couldn't be more satisfied with the shipping time and customer service. The vivi nova just isn't a product for me, PERSONALLY I'm coming to the conclusion of

And trust me when I say, your not alone in the "lack of prior homework done" dept...

Geeze, me and my wallet are in constant battle over that...

Ohh and the worst part:
Just when you find Nirvana in a particular delivery device, and buy mega bucks worth, then something else comes out, and blows that away..

And the reason you bought Mega bucks worth, is because you were afraid the manufacture would go and "improve" it..

I have to ring in a put in a few words about the Vivi Nova. I used to have 5, though they were not the "best" they certainly were not the "worst" I would not recommend them to someone with out a few words of advise. They are rather hit or miss as an "out of the box" item. Though some are lucky enough to get them working as is, most have to be fiddled with to work at their full potential. If you look at all the threads and videos on youtube, they need some tinkering to get them to work,

The heads are mass produced, the tanks are mass produced and some come with flaws. The air intake usually needs some modding, I made the air holes slightly larger ( the ones at the 510 connection) the silica is worthless. The little white thing around the head , I take those out. You have to make sure that the head is on real tight or it opens up and leaks in juice thru the center pole. If you are unlucky to get one that the threads are not perfect than they leak . Leakage from 510 connection is because the head is not on tight or you tipped it and juice went down the center. Sometimes when screwing on the top cap the little stopper on top of the head makes contact with the top cap and it loosens it and leaks. You have to keep them tipped and swish them as juice levels go down, or dry nasty taste. The little silicone cap around the head usually needs trimming to keep the wick from touching it, or you get the plastic taste. Then the legs or wires around the little grommet at the bottom of the head melts sometimes and again plastic taste.

Ok, I can go on with more quirks and fixes, I found them all on the numerous threads here in ECF. After all the fiddleing they are fantastic, even with their handicaps. I kept wanting to find something like the VN but better made and easier to set up and not have to worry about keeping it upright etc. I finally found it. I got an Odysseus, its all the VN wants to be , lasts for a lifetime, built like a russian tank, I know, its expensive, hard to find, but the solution is the Terminator. ITs not 100 % without a slight learning curve but its easier to set up than the VN. No leaks, vapes like a storm. It can use silica or cotton. Its more expensive than the VN but will out last it. Just a thought to make life easier.

After I got my Ody and then the Term, I sold all my VN, which were all modded and vaped just as good as the Ody and Term as far as flavour, but with out all the hassle and handicaps. Those that bought my VN were so lucky and they loved them compared to the ones they had.

no luck... it vaped decently for one or two pulls on it (probably due to the drop in the center, and then I was right back to getting burnt flavor.

Not using a straight VG juice, so thinning it with water shouldn't be necessary.. in fact its a higher ratio of PG than VG..

I don't suppose GotVapes has any kind of return policy for things like this.. lol. After trying them I'd much rather use the money for more tanks and cartos or even a ZAP.. this is simply awful and the worst vaping experience I've ever encountered (including the cheap convenience store brand I began vaping with).. If I had to choose between these and going back to traditional cigarettes (after not a single one in over 8 months)... I'd choose the traditional cigarettes..
My turn... Finch I took an abrasive posture to this here. And I am sorry, this is the last thing we here at GV want to see. I sit here behind Gotvape because without them I would have returned to the ickies.
If it weren't for chris's PM's helping me learn (way back when) and the advent of the ce2, I was ready to walk away from vaping. I truly disgusted with many options out there to us then..
Poor wording indeed, it hit me hard and at home for me..

Our goal is a satisfying vape for all and in this many options to fit the many needs.
No one needs to be on the stink sticks anymore...

Sorry my talons were showing for that reason.

Apologies on not giving specifics.. I assumed it was inferred that I'd tried all three heads before asking what could be causing this..
Eh, when it comes to having a problem, never assume the other guy knows or even has a guess what you have or have not tried.

That said, good luck getting things sorted out

LOL!! The exact reason I purchased 3 units before even trying one!

It's really no problem. I mentioned to zip that I actually have some problems which lead to people misreading what I'm saying a lot and this is a perfect example.

It just bothers me when I think about people being offended by something I've said when it was not my intention, and I get so much help from everyone on this site the last thing I would want to do is step on ties and offend people, especially when I'm not even wanting to lol!

I completely understand your position and again apologize for the poor word choices.. As long as those offended understand it wasn't meant to be taken as such then all is good. :)

Just an update on this.

I recently bought a Lavatube as a backup device in the instance my Provari.

I ordered a couple 510 extenders as well as new 2.8 ohm heads just in case.

With the Lavatube at 4.4ohm with the extension, was able to finally achieve a hit and flavor I can recommend. Rather different from carto tanks but the hit and flavor are both there... If at first you don't succeed, keep trying other things lol!

Now if I could get the DID clone RBA I purchased -elsewhere- to work good deal lol!

My first ViVi Nova was from VaporShark (marketed as a Fusion), and I loved it. I have 8 tanks at present and three of them are ViVi Novas (two of which are "genuine", with the Fusion being of unknown heritage).

I use the 1.8ohm atomizers and my batteries range from 3.3v to 4.2v. The higher resistance atomizers do not produce enough heat for a satisfying vape for me.

I've found that a hard draw is normally due to the tank being overly tight against the battery (and/or thread cover).

I have also asked multiple people about the PG/VG ratio and nobody I know would suggest having a VG ratio higher than 50%. I don't like having the PG any higher than 80%. So, my preference is PG/VG rations between 80/20 and 50/50. Higher VG does make for a much less enjoyable vape with the ViVi.

Ultimately though, my experience is with lower voltage batteries than the OP listed he was using, but this is one of my favorite tanks.

This is sorta a silly reminder, but I have encountered this several times, make sure the atomizer is actually on tight. I made the mistake several times of not disassembling a new tank to assure that the atomizer was actually factory installed "well", and thought the tank wasn't working correctly. I've also had heads loosen over time, so check it before refilling.

Ultimately, I would suspect that the issue the OP is having is due to the battery voltage and the atomizer resistance. We all know it's witchcraft and sorcery to find the winning combination, and that the combination changes from one system to another. I had thought that I would by default only like 1.8ohm resisters with the voltage I run. That's true with the ViVi Nova, but with the SMOK TiTan, I like the 2.5ohm that it came with. I am betting when I switch to the lower resistance replacement heads I bought for it (assuming I would dislike the one it came with) that I will find those to be overly hot, but time will tell.
