It certainly wasn't you Errol that I was placing title on... but the one you were aaaaaah.... shall I say having a useless discussion with. It was pretty obvious when they started trying to twist the meaning of what you had said around.

Apologize for my misunderstanding. Must admit I was taken aback by that kind of poster and I did try to move the discussion to the appropriate board. Haven't seen very many posters with that kind of attitude since I've been posting exclusively on ECF. All in all just a great bunch of people sharing a common goal.

meh..old heads, new heads. About an hour ago I opened up my other nova. Grinded the conector down, removed top wick, trimmed wicks to about 1/2 inch (this is a guesstimate). Believe it or not this thing is wicking great and giving lots of vapor. Best of all I am getting excellent flavor out of it! I did the above things and nothing else to it per a suggestion in another thread here. Tomorrow I will trim wicks on an old head and see if the flavor is there or not and let you know.

Could you post some pictures please. I'd love to see what you've done to improve the head so I can try it on mine. Thanks

Yeah, it seems like a lot of people actually had a very good experience with this thing. I am fairly convinced that it's a good idea to wash it really well before using it, though.

The second picture you can see that I left just a sliver of the connector protrudeing. You might be able to grind it down flush with the heads I am not sure. Looking at it I did not think it would make a good conection with the battery if I did. So I just left a little.

Bad, will they definitely still have the long wicks? I know you mentioned before that they would. Ive seen pics of what others are touting as V2 and they all have short ones. Thats enuff for me to make me not want to buy Vivi's and the same reason I no longer use stardusts. For me, everytime I gotta roll them, they flood and gurgle. Its a PITA. And yeah Ive tried every trick in the book, made sure things fit right, etc... etc... etc... lol.

Please tell me you didnt ruin the nova with short wicks... if those work for some, great let them cut em. Please... im beggin you... dont cut my wicks! Besides, long wicks carry flavor better. Any clearo Ive used with long wicks like the ego-w cleaeomizers that ALL these including the nova are clearly patterned after... are far superior for flavor and never flood. They have long wicks and work like a charm.)

I suppose, I've grown accustomed to the shorter wicks. I do get the gurgle every now and then but usually just plow through it.

I got all excited when I read the head was grinded, thought he was onto something. I was thinking somethin up top? Duh.

@Bad...I just placed an order with a note attached, Please consider...;)

As soon as you said that i remembered i had cola that i forgot in my juices that i dont use, soaked them in it with spearmint also.when they are wet they look clear but when i take them out and dry them they both look a little cloudy .Idk if it should turn white or just cloudy but both of them did it so maybe not new plastic plus if they where different i guess i would be able to tell some kind of difference.

Morning, Bad (you up yet? :D)

I just wondered over to the Visions site, and they have the prettiest picture of the "new plastic" colored tubes for the ViVi. Gorgeous! Don't forget to order some - especially purple, red and lime. Those are really nice. The new green... meh... Looks piney. I like the old Stardust green - that one is more like grass, warmer and cheerier.

And - does the new plastic mean that you won't carry the metal tubes anymore? Should I grab a couple before they go the way of the Dodo?

BTW, I'm glad for the new tubes. The Apple juice did an interesting number on my original tube: it didn't cloud over, and it didn't break, but it's covered with a pretty dense network of tiny cracks that look like interweaving tree branches. Very artistic, really. Never seen anything like that before, but, then, this is my first plastic anything that was affected by juice... Wish I could seal it and keep using it. It really is amazingly beautiful.

ok just confirmed no one has the new plastic tubes and anyone claiming they do shouldnt be.
