Really? I didn't know Florida restricted that, bummer. My PGA is 190 proof (95% alcohol), here in Texas. Well even 70 clear alcohol will do it, it will just take longer.

For those using rubbing alcohol, your right. At the low levels you are probably not in danger. But let me pose a hypothetical question. If you had two Burger King sandwitches in front of you. One with a drop of rubbing alcohol on the meat and one regular. Which would you choose? With all the toxic things in the world that we can't avoid, why choose to add even a little more? Its just a matter of buying 1 product or the other. And please don't tell me the price difference is driving the decision. If you can afford to vape and buy these neat new goodies, you can afford to invest $12 in PGA. The $11 saving on getting rubbing alcohol is not worth it.

Do as you will. I just hate to see my vaping fellows ingest bad stuff if they don't have to.

Yes, Everclear is supposed to be 190 Proof, but that's the way it is. I did find a local store that was listing Graves 190 p, but it's on the web page so that may not be accurate. 1L of the Everclear is $22.99. It's been several years since I drank so maybe they changed it.

Now, as far as the burger question. I used to go to happy hour at my favorite establishmnet down the street. On the way I'd run through Windy's and get a small burger and drink to buffer the wee bit o'Scots that I planned to slosh down. My Dr. insisted I stop drinking which meant I also didn't need that burger and drink. My favorite hangout closed up shortly there after and now there's a bank where the Windy's used to be.... a dreadful economic impact simply because a Dr. wanted me to stop drinking. Now, were I drinking the Isopropal I'd be concerned, but using it to clean and then rinsing well with water I'm not going to worry about. I mean after all, haven't you heard that the world ends in December? Geeze.... we don't even need to buy Christmas presents this year!

Sev, I appreciate the concern and thank you for that, but I don't think there is residue left after cleaning again in water though.

Everclear hmm , short story i used to carve tobacco pipes out of briar and also owned many Italian and Dunhill pipes.
Cleaning them i used 190 proof .
One Sunday morning i was cleaning the shanks and stems with it and decided to try it this stuff so i got a shot glass and down the hatch.
Not good it felt like fire going down the esophagus and then like fire resting in belly and brought on an instant headache kinda like the one a person gets on a hot day drinking something cold really fast.
Or maybe i'm just a wus ?

Im sitting back enjoying my nova with my phoenix xl on another device ready to vape as well.
Life is good. ; )

You poor, poor soul :(. I'm allergic to not having vodka.

On topic, I've been vaping a very syrupy Chocolate Mint from a competitor site that I used before switching to GV (and currently am still using... *cough* stock some liquids! *cough*). I've gone through 2-3 tanks and opened it up today, sure enough the head is very clogged and performance has dropped. Tried scraping it with some tweezers, no go. Gonna do an isopropyl bath soon.

Or maybe i'm just a wus ?

You aren't a wuss! Everclear is strong stuff and it burns. Especially when you light it on fire for burning shots and end up setting your top lip on fire.

Yeah, you're either supposed to put the fire out first, or layer the shot in a way that the alcohol on top of the shot burns off leaving the rest of the drink hot. Unfortunately, drunk people don't make the best decisions, and alcohol + testosterone + party bets leads to horrible burning shots. At least I didn't drop it and set my shoe on fire as my comrade did.

Many, many years ago prior to joining AA (25 years sober) my cousin brought a liter of everclear from Tijuana which we consumed in one evening with orange juice. Was a heck of a drunk but what amazed me is I woke up with a relatively clear head the next morning, a first and last. What I normally drank in quantity, Beer or Whiskey would leave me in a zombie state for most of the day. :)

ok folks. should be getting my first Vivi Nova V2.5 tomorrow and am looking for any tips or advice from the experts. I will be using it on a Provari, so I'm assuming I'll start with the 2.4 head at around 4 volts. Wondering about the wicks. I think these are the long version, but I seem to remember reading that some folks are cutting them down a bit. Any tips on breaking it in? Should it be great right outta the box, or do I need to fiddle a bit with it?

It takes about a tank to break it in. Clean it out every other tank minimum, I went 4-5 tanks without cleaning mine on a syrupy juice and it was *horrible* (I'm not sure I can save it). 2.4 ohms at 4v works great for me.
