It depends on the length of the wire as well as the thickness. So the reddit guy could easily be getting that result with like a 2" length of 32. IDK about the 30ga.

I'm judging length by number of wraps... I know it's an inaccurate way but, that's how I'm doing things to keep them simple for myself.
Thats ok as long as we have a general idea as to the diameter of whats being wrapped. Does that make sense? Sometimes when I'm coiling my Ody I'm using 2 pcs of 3mm wick and a paperclip. So thats a pretty large wrap compared to the one I make for the Vivi when I use 3 pcs of 1 mm silica only.

After further review... Many of those have metal cores and are pre-waxed. I'm going to order some cotton wick and cotton with hemp core and try them.

Wrong, that's an ECigar with a red activated light for realism. Far too bright for public places but just fine for my home use.
