I have a hard time believing such a great product would have so many "fans"...ppl seem to defend provape no matter what and take it personally when anything bad is said about them...which to me says maybe they're just trying to justify the cost to themselves...IN MY EXPERIENCE such die-hard fandom always comes w/ a set of blinders. Not saying anything negative about provari mind you lol, in all honesty I want one badly and wish I could afford one, all I'm saying is that all the rabid defense and endorsement this thing gets seems *a little* suspect to me. Perhaps it is just the be and end all of vaping though...idk.

It's not always "fans" defending the product. I don't own one. I want one. I want one because I have had dealing with their CS department and it was flawless courteous very professional. But Provape also has resellers that might not live up the CS quality. This is why people have a hard time believing it when they hear someone had bad Provape CS experience. Sometimes it is a reseller that does this.

I;m not doubting any of that or the quality of a provari, it was more a general statement - I see so many threads w/ ppl vehemently defending and promoting provape at every turn and in my experience that usually means something's a little off is all. Like for example I have an ESP guitar, in my and many others opinions its the best guitar for the $ hands down, but if someone said something bad about them I'd say ok, your loss...I wouldn't go out of my way to try and convince them it was the best cuz I already know it is and if they don't wanna listen then that sucks for them...keeps the price down for me :D. Whereas Gibson is touted as the best and defended and promoted just like the provari when the reality is their quality control is horrible and 1/10 is great while the rest are a ripoff. Just and example...again, not saying anything negative about the provari, more of a generalized observation.

I really like my Vamo. You can use an 18650, a single 18350 or two stacked 18350s. Has resistance check and battery voltage check among other things. Might be something you'll want to check out. Pretty inexpensive too, as far as mods go. Let us know what you end up getting and what you think of them!

I second this. I bought my Vamo from SmokTek as a backup to my Provari, since the price was so attractive on it and the reviews have been so positive. You know what? My Provari is now the backup... I've been using it daily since December.

The variable wattage feature alone earns consideration, especially if you're like me and have several tanks/atomizers of different resistance (ohms) in rotation, as it takes care of figuring out the voltage to match your preferred wattage setting (mine is 8.0 watts, btw). On my Provari, I'd consistently forget to drop the voltage down when switching from a 2.8ohm Vivi Nova to my 1.5ohm atomizer... and suffer that burnt/nasty taste as result. With the Vamo, I set it to 8.0 watts and put whatever ohm atty I want on there with no futzing around.

There are other options out there now that do variable wattage (e.g. the Z-max), but I feel the Vamo is probably the best bang for your buck out there right now IMHO.

ok, i emailed provape about two and half weeks ago and was asking as to how their mod was set so much ahead of the others, they emailed me back and told me how its vv restince check and all of that and how come the price was set so high for a mod that has no kit, they responded back with if i wanted to copy the provari and or mini that they would see me in court, in no way was i even thinkin of copy them at all, i just wanted to see why a mod that can do all the same thing as a lets say a lambo v2, itaste mvp, zmax that sort of thing, they responded back with i am a horriable pantent infringer and that if they ever seen a mod that looked anything like a provari with an email associated with mine that they would take me to court. i can understand them maybe asking me why i wanted to know what i was asking but they just came off the hook and assumed stuff. belive what yall wanna belive everyone has opions and mine is set away from provari.

I've reached the conclusion, assuming spc_erp is being honest which I have no reason to doubt he is, that Provape is the Gibson of the vaping world.. I'd like to thank the OP and this thread for giving me this insight and freedom to seek other less expensive alternatives to my coveted first big mod. I;m thinking of mechanical mod like a silver bullet any opinions on this? Sorry if this is somewhat off topic.

What kind of set up do you think you'll use with your mods? Tanks, cartos, drip attys?
i have a few of everything minus atty's. When im vaping my tobacco clove i tend to drip so i dont have the clove taste stuck in the wicks. right now im running a 5 mil j tank with fuzzy peach with a 2.2 ohlm carto, runnin at 4.2 volts, might be a lil high for most people but i like the taste. When im vapin cocnut or watermelon frost i tend to vape a lil lower, and with chocolate i like the burnt chocolate taste.

That is really messed up. You will receive another email in a few days asking about your experience. Make sure you not what happened in there. If that had happened to me I would stay away from them as well.

Back on topic. ITaste MVP, Ovale 8, Vamo, all get pretty good reviews.

And btw I'm not saying provapre lacks Qc or puts out an inferior product cuz I have no experience w/ them, I'm just basing this off what I've read from others...it seems like they;re coasting on their laurels and there's actually products out there that are just as good if not better for half the price but they don't want anyone to know that is all. If I'm wrong, sue me... I'm gonna get me the underrated bulletproof $80 mod I know is out there..

i thank all who gave their advice, im sure more people will respond and im open to it. allthough i was in the army hence "spc" being my last rank and im kinda hurt that people would wanna argue with the convo i had with provape and it hurt my intrgity,, but thats the joy of this country is the right to free speech. Now the silver bullet on the other hand just looks good, i am a big fan of lime green and they just so happen to have one that color. with it being a non vv device i like the fact that it can take a kick to make it a vw device. im thinkin im going to get like 5 or 6 mods, i like options and very rarely will you see me vapin on the same device all day, when i first wrote this i was using my l-rider and now im using my ego. dunno why but i like it that way.

Yead dude, silver bullet is supposedly bulletproof and if u can stand constant voltage that's 100% the way to go. I wasn't doubting your word btw, in fact just the opposite.

U can try a sigelei zmax it seems to be the top dog right now. Stainless steel and vv and vw, takes 18650 or stack 18350
i do dig the zmax, my local vape shop is having a killer deal on em right now, they meant to order ten and ordered 100, i think im gonna get one of those. sincitymods.com makes a monster can mod, its more of a table piece and i think if you took it out in public the cops would think your smokin weed, but i love monster i would get one, but for 150 dollars its over rated.
