Hello to everyone this is my first post.Ok here is my problem.Ive just recently started to use an Electronic Cigarette.Bought my first one from a gas station, which it was by Fuma.It was ok but only came with one battery. So 2 weeks ago I bought the Joye 510 with 2 batteries.Should I have purchased the Ego-T instead of the 510?.Ive been a heavy smoker for over 25 years. Now I find myself charging the 510 batteries like crazy. It gives me what I need from it for like the first 10 minutes after being charged but then starts to die down it seems.

Both batteries have about the same amount of time in between charges.I love the 510 but I just wonder if maybe the Ego-T is more suited for a heavy smoker.Maybe since I have stopped smoking analog cigarettes that I keep the 510 in my fingers puffing too much.I just don't think the 510 is for a heavy smoker. So what are the thoughts about me getting the Ego-T?.Would it be better for a heavy smoker?.Thanks in advance for any help.

Hello from VA!

It is hit and miss with the T mods. People swear by them and some people at them.

If battery life is an issue you may want to look at a GoGo or Echo they are 8 hour + machines. If you want to stay with your 510 size (eGo) look for a Riva 1100 mah battery and charger.

I am a GoGo "fan boy" so my view is biased.

I love the eGo, but I am still not really sold on the T version... yet. I have the tank and atomizer for the T but I still need to adjust the wick for it. I use the eGo with the standard 510 atomizers and carts and I dearly love them. The main thing I love is the extra long battery life that I get with the eGo. I get almost 3 days vaping with the 950mAh battery.

I'll let everyone else go on about their hardware...

Yes, standard 510 batteries will need charged very frequently for a heavy vapor. Back when I used 510 batteries I had 6 going on 2 chargers and still had problems keeping up.

My question is what strength juice are you using? Are you finding flavors that satisfy? (I think these are more important than hardware.)

And for folks wondering, I go through between 2400 to 5600 mAh of battery power a day. You all are lightweights!

I wouldn't buy a Gogo now. Stick with something with a very popular threading for now, like Ego us 510 threading (the most popular threading). I think new people should be able to try lots of stuff to find what they like. Fat battery 510 threaded models and mods have the most variety of stuff available for them.

Ego yes. Tanks not sure. Some people like them and some people have problems like leaks and lack of flavor. Fortunately, the only change is the type of atomizer - tanks use a tank atomizer (and the larger tanks need the larger tank atomizer). For dripping or cart (ugh cart but ok for testing juices) you would use a normal Ego or 510 atomizer (of a variety of resistances for different amounts of heat and BTW heat uses battery charge faster). And you could use cartomizers which is how lots of people like to vape - nice blank cartomizers like Boge or more exotic reservoir or jumbo types.

I think Ego would be an excellent idea, and whether you start with tanks or not, it doesn't matter. I recommend you get some Boge cartomizers too (standard resistance and/or the hotter LR ones). And if you buy Ego T then also buy a normal 510 atomizer and a 510 drip tip (or normal Ego atty and whatever drip tip works with those - mega drip tip??) so you can drip to test juices.

I'm a bit skeptical on the eGo-T, but at the same time the eGo-T will do 510 cartridges, though I think you need to switch cones to make it look nice. I find something standard eGo style fits my needs just fine.

The nice thing about going 510 is you can go with any number of 650mAh-1100mAh battery solutions. Liberty Flights has the classic Riva 510, or the T-Rex for slightly more. I'm on a 900mAh t-rex and find it to be a stable performer whether on 1.5-3.5ohm addys. I've had a few fickle charger days, and was glad I had the 510 mini as a backup, but so long as I pay attention to the light on my wall charger, it's groovy. The charge time is faster having a 400ma charger vs 200 for standard eGo style, and the blue/green ring is a nice touch.

Light and Heavy smokers will benefit from 650-1100mAh batteries. Each big battery runs ~$20 and lasts 8-16+ hours for moderate-heavy users. Being Li-ion their charge cycle is limited to 200-300 charges, thus they represent a good value. You should be good for 1.5years before shelling out another $40 for 900mAh batteries, vs standard 180mAh 510s which will give you the same millage with 10 batteries.

But you're the user, and raw economics doesn't count for squat if ease of use suffers.

I use the Ego-T tank in both type A and type B. All the Ego-T attys require some cleaning, wick adjustment, and dryburn just like standard attys. I find the Tanks to be convenient and long lasting between refills. Some people want trouble free performance. Those might like Boge cartos that you can buy, vape, and throw away. In any event, vaping isn't free. You have costs involved with any method. Attys need replacing periodically, too.

I like the 650mah Joye and 750mah Riva 510 batts just fine. The bigger batts turn your 510 into a standard Ego. Two, sometimes three Ego/Riva batteries last me all day. Liberty Flights E-Liquid and Electronic Cigarette Shop - Category Listings has the Riva 510 750mah batteries for $11.99 after 20% discount. Their shipping is $2.99 all the way across the U.S..

The 510 line is compatible with just about anything you'd want to change it into. The parts mix and match to create all kinds of configurations.

Fine, the t-rex represents 2.8c/mAh
The Reva 510 represents 2c/mAh

Thus I stand corrected, the T-rex batteries @ 900 will run $14.4 more per 2.4 Riva batteries. Still, 900-1100mAh represents all day vaping, vs 750 which represents half a day. And they look cooler. I just can't say they cost less.

Love the 1000 mah batteries!

The tank is not without it's difficulties. If you get one, make sure you buy cartos for a backup. I had a tank last 2-3 weeks and another one last 2 days and I had problems. When it worked, I liked it. Trying to fix the wick is like giving a flea a vasectomy.

Are you speaking from personal experience there, swedish? I just LOL'd when I read that!

I quit a 40 year habit so ecigs work. I went the riva, 510, pen style ect. I wish I had listened to the pros that said buy a reo.

I thought 150 bucks was too much to spend on a possible fad thing. Its not a fad, ecigs work and 150 bucks is an investment towards our health.

Long story short, get something that's going to last and compare the cost to the value of your health.

That said, I loved my riva tank with long life batteries. Its just once you try the power and flavor of a mod, you ll wind up getting one anyway.

Not preaching here Rosa, I just wish I had listened to the vets that told me to go with a bottom feeding box mod.

I'm in cville. Send me a note if you wish to discuss further

Pfah, amateur. Batteries don't do it for me anymore. Right now I've got 4 pans with e-liquid on the gas stove. I vape three liters an hour! Don't believe me? Come and visit me, I'm in the southern half of the Netherlands which since recently is permanently covered in mist.

I'm using 26mg strength currently with a pg/vg mix.So far I have used butter rum, coconut, pecan, and cherry flavors. Also a USA mix that I added some of the butter rum flavor to it.I really like the flavors over the tobacco alone.Ive also tried pg and the vg by themselves and come up with some good flavors.
