Finally found a US vendor with them -- ecig.com has them for $39. Ordered one in stainless -- should be arriving by the end of the week (assuming USPS doesn't have a glitch). Looking forward to trying it out.

Well, got my DIY80 today. My one word review would be "underwhelming."

On the plus side, it is very comfortable in hand – the rounded edges fit well, and it’s a very comfortable thumb fire device. I also like the battery door being hinged. Fit and finish is nice (I have it in SS) and there is zero button or battery rattle. It’s easy to get the battery in and out without tearing the wrapper even though it’s a snug fit.

That’s about all the pluses. On the negative side, the 510 spring has a short travel, so many of my attys don’t sit flush. Getting into the menu is a pain – five clicks to do that but since three clicks locks the device, more often than not it locks when you want to get into the menu. It usually takes a couple of 5-click sequences to successfully bring up the menu.

22mm attys fit with no overhang; anything larger will overhang the front and sides.

TC performance is poor – so far it’s a real pulsing, roller-coaster ride. It works, but it’s a clear step behind Joytech and Smok TC, and way behind YiHi and Evolv TC. I've only used it with Ni so far, so perhaps it is better with other wires. I'm not optimistic given its Ni performance, however.

It never asks if it’s a new atty when you switch attys in TC mode. You have to remember to press plus/minus to set the resistance, or it will use the base resistance of whatever you just removed as the base resistance of what you put on.

The DIY mode is what interested me the most and, while it works, it’s not well implemented from a UI standpoint. It is very difficult to see the wattage you’re setting when you’re in DIY mode since it’s in 2 point type in the corner of the screen. The DIY graph remains on screen when you’re firing it in DIY mode so there’s no visual confirmation of what it’s doing other than the graph and the tiny, tiny wattage indicator in the top right corner.

A rather disappointing day for vape mail.

hazozita,

I was hoping to hear otherwise from you.

Based on the "Vision" brand name and the attention to it's
appearance, you'd expect excellent performance.

It's supposed to be firmware upgradeable. Maybe there's new firmware in the
works.

You can contact them here if you'd like:
