Now that I have Odysseus I can make coils at whatever resistance I want, basically giving me variable voltage. The only thing I miss from the Provari now is the voltage regulator - I hate battery drop off!

I hear ya on the battery drop off. On 3.7 it is so bad to me it isn't even worth the effort.

Is the drop off better with HV? Have never tried HV in my GGTS, might have to now that I can make my own coils. I've got a couple 3.7v bats I could use - what res coil would I shoot for if I'm pushing 7.4v and I prefer around 10 watts??

To me the drop off is the least noticeable at 6V, using two AW LiFePO4 batts stacked. They start out around 3.35V each unloaded and vape great all the way down to about 3.1V. Once they get that low, they have a tendency to drop off pretty quickly if you keep on using them.

That is kinda a hard question. With HV 1 battery always discharges more then the other so I usually change my batterys out before drop off becomes a big issues (usually 2.5-3.5 hours or 1.6-2ml for me). Although I could probably deal with the drop off and get 3-4 hours out of a set. The thing is though with 3.7 I really only liked the battery till it hit 3.9-4v so even though in a pinch I could get 10-12 hours out of a 18650 3v battery I only liked the first 2-4 hours of vaping. That being said even the weakest hit on my 6v setups are better then the best hits on 3.7.

It is all subjective though I go throug 10ml most days so i consider myself a heavy vaper others may have much better results with 3.7.

I will never forget my coil of 3.3 ohms in iatty with two freshly charged 3.7 aw imr's... Really great experience that was :) My friend lost his hat from head lol Only thing is to keep that wick fed and you will have a blast.

As I said I remember that coil very well :D It was impossible for me to wrap it around the wick so I wrap it around the pin, and I got perfect small coil, like in chinese attys and put the wick on top of it. If you don't know what I'm talking about I can wrap it now and take a pic...

If you're shooting for 10 watts then coil needs to be at 5.44 ohm based on ohm's law. But then when those batts is fully charge you'll be pumping out 12.97 watts...

Well, I don't wanna blow my head off - so maybe 3.5-3.7 coil? Can I even wrap that around a wick? That would be a long resistance wire me thinks. And, yeah, 4.2v - forgot about that little issue.

Just use thinner resistance wire since thinner = higher resistance per length...
