That is so true. Then you get the people who spend $200+ on a provari because it is american made and will last forever with a lifetime warranty. Well, who wants something that has a lifetime warranty and will last forever in a market where technology changes minute by minute. When I was 18, I paid $299 for a lifetime membership to a video rental store, where did that get me. Not only did they close up shop within a couple of years, but the technology is antiquated too. We don't even have video stores by me anymore, just kiosk machines and download sites. Never pay more for something that has lifetime warranty on a technology item, especially not 4 times more.

I always heard "Lifetime Warranty" meant if you ever bring it back they'll kill you.

Actually!
Watts are a new discovery by monkies. They seem to understand this is as new marketing tool, variable voltage devices have already saturated the market. How to sell more? I know, USE WATTS (which is practically the same thing).

Huh, must be why they sell so many light bulbs by the wattage. Somebody at Westinghouse musta had a bright idea to improve sales.:lol::lol:

Well, on lightbulbs this happens because you need to describe the light intensity of fluorescent economy bulbs or LED devices which consume a lot less power than standart incandescent lightbulbs.
That is why lab monkies created lumens as a better description and a marketing tool.
On every situation it describes power consumption, the lumens thing is just to describe the light intensity and give a comparison. Have you seen many times an incandescent lamp with lumens description?

just to officially confirm ... SI has no plans to introduce a VV device.... as stated we want to keep everything compatible ;)

...and it's final...lol. So I think I'm gonna just try a 2.4 phoenix out and see how it will work for me. Sounds like it will overall be better for what I am looking for. Hopefully you SI guys will get your new ones out so i can do a 1 stop shop thing. Thanks everyone for the input.
