I use the eGo big batteries. FSUSA stock them in many colours. All 510 compatible. I use them with LR cartos and get at least a full day Heavy vaping, longer with moderabe vaping, per battery. I have about 5 batteries that I cycle through, and am still on the first ones I bought when I started vaping back in March.

Having said that, I'm buying a Jessy X soon (because I love my Jessy S, but obviously it doesn't last that long between charges being so tiny) which would give you the variable voltage.

Very interesting... I have 2 Inferno batteries and a bunch of Volcano stuff. I wonder why they are marketing through another domain name? For hardware they have a very good thing going which owes to why I have a bunch of the stuff they sell but this is the first I have heard anything about the Lavatube.

I would buy my ejuice through them.. it's quality stuff but.... (hehe) at the prices they charge and the limited variety there is no way. FreedomSmokeUSA is my only ejuice supplier. BTW- Freedomsmokeusa has good prices on the Ego batteries but my personal choice has been to stick with 1000mah egos and avoid the smaller ones. I can get 10 hours straight from one battery and if you knew me.. I have an ecig connected to a retractable lanyard on my shirt 24 hours a day.. (yeah, even when i sleep) so 10 hours is working hours.

I have tried battery box mods.. and they all basically rock. What I find weird is how people want variability in the voltage.

My findings are.. that with a 3 ohm coil more voltage is better.. so why 'vary' that voltage? So far this has been the case.
Standard rechargeable batteries don't need regulation.. so any box that holds 4-5 AAA or AA batteries will rock, switch, connector for your 510 and it can be had for nothing. The batteries are what will run you $10 or more.

I am a talented engineer, independent by trade and until I had the time to break down and try some box mods I was looking at buying a Darwin probably the most beautiful thing ever invented for Ecigs.. (google it) but the prices on this equipment... after I realize how simple this whole situation with voltage is.. well I am not sure I can justify paying so much.

A basic 1000mah ego will run you $20-23 before shipping and they work great. I say save the money for ejuice (which you can never have enough of...) and cartos/addies/clearos.

Good luck and if you buy a lavatube or provari let us know what you think of it. :)

Went to look at the lavatube and like what I saw...gonna have to read more about it though...definately a possibility

Rahn,

I started with a VV eGo, that I got from FSUSA. For the price, there is nothing better to give you a taste of VV, and see if it is for you. Be warned, for many of us, a taste is not enough. After that, I went with the Infinity Pro. It has a solid construction, goes between 3.3V-5.5V, is light and still slim. If you are going to "pony up" the kind of money that the LavaTube costs, just toss in a little more and get the one you really want.

Just my 2 cents. ;-)

That's interesting. What do you think is going on with joye? They make quality stuff.. but I have been trying to find good prices on a variety of colors for the 1000mah egos to no avail. (though what you say is true.. because in my quest I am starting to think maybe.. I'll be moving into more elaborate higher voltage batteries one way or another as my next step.)

For new vapers you can't get more trouble free and straight forward as the joye products.

got the VV 900mah ego today and took a jessy x that i got friday to have checked out cause I was having a problem with it...no worries tho; FSUSA will take care of it. Yeah, I'm perty sure I'm gonna like the ego. Still don't know what I'm going after as far as the vv mod. got alotta suggestions and opinions about different devices to assimilate. I got a month or so to figure it out so I'll be studyin on it. Who knows maybe good vv mods will be on FSUSA's inventory by then. :)

Every time I watch a video on the LavaTube, as they compare it to a ProVari, I am glad I got the Infinity Pro. Oh, and I am no longer interested in the ProVari, at all. ;-)

ehhhh... the Jessy X is pretty cool but the low price variable voltage devices are also kind of quirky.

Egos are inexpensive and they work pretty well on the long haul.. My 2 most (and oldest) ego batteries (1000mah) are finally starting to show signs of wear and not holding the initial charge voltage as long as they used to.. these have been in constant use now since March/April of this year. Not bad for $20 batteries.

I think all these variable mods are fine.. the Infinity is the sexy one (IMHO) because of the diameter. The Lava tube.. really any of these fat Mods bothers me which is probably why I haven't sunk the cash into one yet.

Dial on the fly is essential, clickie buttons are a pain.. I don't need to know what my voltage is to find the right output so much as a quick wheel adjustment. Who cares what the number is right?

Perhaps what the market needs is a new battery geometry and theory?

Something sexy, maybe a sonic screw driver mod that does 20 other things?
