I'm looking to step up my game and want some suggestions. I've been watching reviews on the Vamo, Smax, Zmax, eVic and a few more. I'm trying to stay around $100 plus batteries and charger. I'd like to hear some suggestions on VV/VW devices that are worth owning. Also if you have an opinion about one of the four I've mentioned please post it. Good or bad, I have no loyalty toward any of them. If you feel like one of them is not worth owning I would like to hear it. Thanks for your input.

I am sold on veritable wattage so any device I buy will have this feature.
I said under $100 because I don't see the need to spend much more than that on the device. It's not written in stone. If the device is $105 I'm not going to write it off. If its $140 but comes in a kit with batteries and a charger that's fine too. I just feel like I have lots of great options without spending upwards of $200+. When I step up from this device I'm sure I will want to spend more but for now I'm stepping up from a twist.

I can't tell you the quality level on any of the PV's you mentioned. PBusardo did a video review on the Vamo, and really likes it.

I own a eVc, and can tell you I've had a couple issues with it. eVic: The screen can't be read out doors, I've had it change itself from vv to vw, when I take the top off my tank to refill juice, it shuts itself off. I have also turned the unit on and have it not remember where it was when it was turned off. Recommend the eVic? No, not at this time.

the Vamo is all you need. Ive tried so many mods, and besides the fact that's its only a$35 (exhalevapors is where I got mine) ive never been happier with a mod.

I've seen people saying the Sigelei Zmax is down to around $70, but I'm assuming this is w/o charger or batteries. Though on a quick search I did find a kit for $89.95, with shipping it could go a touch over.

There is also the CVI v1 & v2, which I think retail for around $50 w/o anything giving plenty of room for batteries & charger. I think stock is low most places, but should be bouncing back. They've apparently been working out some quirks.

Get yourself a Vamo. That one is a day old. There are templates in the Vamo section, and links to good carbon fiber wraps. Its a nice mod imo

I had a Provari Lost it.
I researched extensively on the Forum and ended up purchasing two different Units
1. The Sigelei Zmax
2. The Itaste MVP

Sigelei Zmax just arrived today.

On first impression it is excellent, build quality very good. The newest one also has native ego threading and you can use the t3 Kanger.
I chose it because it had the least complaints of any mod outside of the Provari. Vamo has a lot of complaints about build quality.

The Sigelei Zmax with Charger and two Batteries should run right at the $100.00 mark.

The other choice to check out which arrives tomorrow or Monday is the Itaste MVP.

The Itaste MVP will be your most economical solution. At $65.00 comes with the 2600mah battery and uses a standard Micro USB Charger. So you save on buying batteries and a charger. You can vape on it while it's charging so no down time if you have a long Micro USB Cord. Limited feature set. If you are looking for a solid unit without the bells and whistles and like the box shape you should check out the MVP. By the way I chose the MVP because it also had the most satisfied user base in terms of quality.

The Itaste MVP though is only for average vapers, it has a 5V Limit which is good enough for 95% of the vapers.
The newest version also has native Ego Threading so I can use my Kanger T3.

I suggest Vapor Alley for the latest revision of both. Previous revisions on both models won't have ego threading. So you want to buy the latest and greatest.
I've included links to Pbusardo reviews of both. Remember his review is in November and the latest revisions of both have been improved.

^^^ LOVE my Ovale V8 - use it everyday, all day and no complaints other than the rubber's starting to peel a lil. Works flawlessly though and I got two + batts and a charger for $30. Also the thing w/ the iTaste is you can't replace the batt if it ever fails..

My suggestion for what it's worth besides the SB + kick is doing like me and getting a cheapo vv chinese mod or two plus a mech mod that uses the same batts. I have a couple egos and a riva as backup right now but I just ordered a mech mod for $25 and extra batts and charger for $20. So now I have 5 diff't devices (one of which is 100% mechanical and will never fail), 4 18350 batts, 2 chargers and all of it was less than $100 total.

btw I bought the spare batts and charger cuz I learned my lesson when my spinner and ego charger both broke on the same day...not fun - always have backups :)

Two buddies got Zmax's the weeks they came out. One got the Smoktech, the other got the Sigeili. The buddy who got the Smoktech started complaining that the fire button wouldn't fire 100% of the time. Also, his plastic window popped loose without him dropping it or doing anything to it. The other buddy with the Sigeili was pushing dual coils at 12 watts and got the Low Load screen, and nothing would work right after that. He had to send it back for repairs.

All of us have owned Vamos and swear by them. They're tough cookies. Beautiful LED display, beyond-easy menu to navigate, feels sturdy, you could club an attacker with it, and it automatically comes with both full length and shorty modes. No need to buy extra extender caps.

Plus it's cheap.

Great input everyone. I wanted to like the eVic but I'm not hearing great things at the moment. I am nearly sold on the Vamo but the size is all that's deterring me. I would like something smallish. But that's one place I may have to compromise. I've watched all Phils reviews and now that I've narrowed it down to the suggestions in this thread I think I will watch them again and take some notes.

I have an eVic and I must say I am impressed so far. You will likely pay over 100 once it is shipped, but, I like mine a lot. PB's review I saw was on the 1.0, and the firmware is up to 1.2 and makes a significant difference. The durability issue is one I have heard that sounds legit, but so far so good on mine.

I have a Vamo, too, and I like the eVic better. I can certainly agree the Vamo is one tough hombre. I have abused mine and it is still kicking. I have the luxury of risking an allegedly fragile eVic cause I have a couple of backup devices as well as a couple of twists. If you are only gonna have one device, the eVic is a risk if half of the horror stories I hear are true. But if you like switching clearos and cartos with different juices, the VW thing where you set your wattage is pretty cool cause it adapts to your new device ohms and changes the voltage to maintain watts.
