vaping far exceeded my expectations! For the couple of weeks that they worked, I didn't smoke, didn't want to smoke, and when I had to smoke (e-cigs died) it was TERRIBLE. Unfortunately I haven't had much luck with the DSE801s and DSE901s I've purchased, so I'm back on analogs. I've been reading as much as I can here. I'm trying to figure out which one to buy - that I can count on with no (okay - minimal) problems. It seems that the Joye 501s are working out for a lot you......any suggestions?
I'm going to be in training for ten weeks for a new job starting in June, and smoking isn't going to be possible.

510 is a great little ecig. But if you are looking for better battery life and a little more oomph, I suggest the eGo. It has gotten so many great reviews. Good Luck to you!!

Well, I never intended to quit smoking... just to suppliment when the hubby was near.... but I haven't had a smoke since I bought my first Smoking Everywhere kit... and it's only gotten better since my 510, and now my transition into cartomizers..... sooooooooooooooo.... it has FAR exceeded any expectation I ever had....

I feel the same way. The standard 510 was great for a while...and it did replace smoking for me, but the 510 cartomizers have made everything even better! I only expected to tolerate the electronic cigarette, not enjoy it like I do. :)

I have to tell you that I love my 510 now...but didn't always love it because of all the work I had to put into it to get it to taste and work right. The new 510 cartomizers were the answer for me. I enjoy it now, instead of having to "deal" with it. You can look on the classified section, get a couple of 510 batteries for a decent price (and a charger) then buy some 510 cartomizers...either blanks to fill yourself or pre-filled. I know dietsmokes sells a starter kit with these, but you might save a few bucks looking around the ecf classifieds...just a thought.

Exceeded my expectations by far. I never intended to quit smoking, I only wanted to “smoke” at work. On my first week vaping just went from 2 ppd to only four or five cigarettes/day, the second week I smoke only two cigarettes/day, after that I’ve been analog-free for 70 days. I started with a 901, now I’m using a TW Tornado and I don’t want to touch an analog for the rest of my life.
    I can say I’m a happy ex-smoker.

Vaping exceeding my expectations, and also the 10 or other folks I have converted so far. It's not just a replacement for smoking, but a much improved experience. You simply can't smoke a vanilla or coffee flavor with a regular cig.

Well, you USED to be able to, before the PACT legislation was passed. This effectively banned all "flavored" tobacco products. Sweet dreams came in vanilla and strawberry. Nat Sherman had their great natural mint cigs. The ban also applied to Kretek cigs as well (Djarum). They still sell Djarums, with a tobacco wrapping, now classified as a "cigarillo." They aren't nearly as good as the originals :nah:

vaping exceeded my expectations in most ways at this point (about 6 weeks in), and I expect it will exceed them all once I figure out a juice I love and work out some other relatively minor things. I was hoping it would help me quit, and was pleasantly surprised when the analog before my first vape was the last - I have not even really been tempted to have an analog, and my wife still uses them.

Vaping worked great at first, found what I thought were good flavors, but they wore out on me. Since I was new at this and happy, I ordered a ton of Dekang juice. It's OK, but I suspect there is so much more in store for me. I am working my way through the dekang juice, very slowly. I only use about .75ml a day, so the 10 3ml bottles I ordered are taking forever to use. I have some BASIC juice, which I like overall and use mostly in the evenings, but I have yet to find a good 'every day' juice.

I just ordered some blank 510 cartomizers, which I am hoping will help with some atty issues I've been having.

Overall, vaping is great - but it's not as easy or reliable as an analog. I like tinkering, and technology (and tech toys), so vaping is kind of like a hobby that I enjoy. If I wasnt a geek, the glitches I've experienced might have been enough to send me back to analogs...instead, glitches are things to figure out!

I ordered the 510 with the PCC earlier today, from Cignot. Both the e-cig and the website got pretty good reviews, based on a lot of the posts I've been reading.
I'll let you know how it turns out.

    I hope I love mine.
I just posted a few minutes ago - I just ordered mine today.

I am having Gastric bypass in a month and a requirement for that surgery was to quit smoking, We have 6 kids and I work from home, and was NOT ready to quit smoking. I recieved my "Blu" after seeing it advertized and was amazed with something that was NOT a real cig, after all i DID NOT want to quit... the Blu was okay UNTILL i got my 510 & passthru, OMG since I recieved the blu in the mail almost a month ago i havent TOUCHED a real cig!
This is a blessing for me and my BF quit right along with me. Without the e-cig I dont think I would have been able to quit analogs!

    I LOVE THIS THING!!!
Now if i could just save enought money for a 6v, haha

The only hiccup so far has been when in social drinking situations, the craving for an analog is stronger, but I have found that if I vape tobacco flavored juice rather then sweet juices while drinking alcohol, then the craving is way less. Although this theory has only been put to the test once since we started vaping :)

This was my big test when I started vaping and luckily actually prefer drinking and vaping over drinking and smoking. Interestingly, I also drink less.

I imagine you checked this with your physician? I don't want to be a bummer (although I keep doing it anyway) but I believe that the effects from the nicotine is still going to cause problems for you both on the operating table and also in your recovery. I'd check to make sure it's going to be o.k. before you jeopardize your surgery date and your smooth recovery. Good Luck!:)

Yup, I checked with them! they want my lungs to be clear, and they told me that doing the vapor is just like a patch or gum. So I am safe! Hehe I check with both DR and Surgery team!
