Hey everyone. Have a strange issue. We have two kayfuns. One clone of the kayfun lite plus from fasttech and an original kayfun lite. There's not much difference between the two and once I get to my question I don't think it matters much.

I wrap two coils. 7 wraps of 28 guage wire, around my bit (I'm almost sure it's 1/16"). I make pretty consistent coils. So much so that I get 1.1 on one head, 1.5 on the other... consistently.

What could it be? The insulator cup on my original is a little melted. Trying to find one of those but that's proven tough. I could do less wraps but I feel like with smaller surface area the vape suffers a bit.

Thanks for any suggestions.

What happens if you swap the coils between devices? Same readings in each device? If you isolate it to the device, then try swapping the positive block and insulator between them, etc. you can narrow down if it is the screw material, block, insulator, etc by swapping parts between them. I know the fastech clones sometimes use iron or some other screws which rust and corrode. The kayfun will have stainless screws.

First off, here's a link for an insulator for the KFL.

That said, I've not had much luck with the KFL's from FT. They've been a PITA since I started using them, so I switched over to the one from EHPro and since, I've not had a single issue.

To help you out, are you sure the coils are not touching the base, center air tube, etc? As in, they're only hitting the screws and nothing else?

Hey everyone, I have a genuine Kayfun and it's been amazing. Just got the Kayfun FT clone as a spare and after extensive cleaning and a couple of builds I'm having horrible draw issues. I test it by taking a few hits off of the chimney after building the coil and it's fine, but once I assemble the tank the draw is terrible. I've removed the airflow screw, but that does nothing. If anyone has any insight as to what might be going on I'd love to know.

Try a different drip tip. When i swap drip tips on my 3.1 it makes a huge difference. The stock tip can be restrictive.

Thanks! Good suggestion, however I am using a wide bore drip tip and still no dice. Feels like something is plugged up. but only when the full tank is assembled.

Check for another AFC screw, mine had two screwed in on top of each other. Took me a bit to figure that one out. I kept adjusting the top one with no change, I removed it, same issue. For the hell of it, I put my Allen wrench back in and felt it grab, unscrewed and there was the second screw.

Thanks for the links. I had actually thought to look for them on ebay a few days ago so that's sorted. Should have probably reported back with that.

Have a new issue though. When I fill one of the kayfuns it leaks right out the drip tip. Now considering the vapor chamber isn't getting flooded I have to believe the juice is going right past the oring the chimney connects to. Replaced it. Same issue. Any suggestions?

I have an EHpro kayfun 3.1 Been using the drip tip that came with it. Can you link me to an alternative that may be less restrictive?

I was having problems with draw/vapor production with my EHPRO kayfun 3.1 for a few weeks. Here is what I did to fix the issue
1. remove the air control screw completely
2. fill the tank from the top while covering the airhole, and turn the device upside down as you screw the top cap back on
3. Run my cotton wick that extends out of each end of the coil downwards, only very slightly to the side of each channel, and then finish the build by capping it with the center cone
4. wait 1.5 seconds after firing before starting to draw
