You mentioned about coils setup, how about wicking? Try longer/shorter wick, or thinner/thicker wick, different types of cotoon? Personally, I find rayon Cotton very forgiving in wicking as it is more absorbent.
thanks guys, i redid the coils and it seems ok now. i must say doing it the second time round is much faster. but the dual coil set up really quite leh chey. in any case, good practice!

Hey guys, I'm newbie here on the forum
Was long time smoker but quit some good 7 years back last time
But even though I broke the habit, was kinda missing the buzz and the social aspect of smoking
Came to hookah smoking couple of years ago, very nice to get together with few friends and chill outdoors passing the pipe and talking

Then couple of months back was at Phillipines and seen few surfers vaping after a long day out
Totally loved an idea, it seemed so hassle-free. Tried it and liked how it works: the result is more predictable then with hookah which tends to taste great, but then always needs a skill to keep it up and yet still fades away soon.

Fortunately our neighbors are very close :)

Fortunately our neighbours have no rulings yet regarding vaping.

stay safe young padawan.

Thank you my friend...
Got myself Smok Xcube2 and TFV4.
Watched tons of reviews and everyone says you want to vape at 80W+ to really get the flavor coming
Played with the box for some time and all I can say I don't need more than 40W: at 60 I got my throat like frozen after a second of inhaling.
40W gives me nice clouds and good taste with no spray. 60W adds some spray already and going to higher wattage only makes it worse.
Do you think it's just my poor vaping experience or should I just enjoy it and quit giving a crap about those youtubers?

Damn Xcube2, you have a mod I've been dying to get my hands on man.

As for the youtubers, just follow their safety videos and general coiling tutorials. For wattage level, whatever floats your boat honestly. I rarely go above 50 too..

Also a question: my TFV4 eats up juice. I can easily finish all 5ml in half an hour and I'm newbie on 40W.
Have nothing to compare with but you guys should be able to tell - is it okay?
Are there other (convenient) tanks which aren't that hungry for juice?

I mean I do understand that bigger cloud = more juice but may be there's some better balance?
TFV4 is perfect otherwise (still remember I have nothing to compare, just have no issue with the device whatsoever)

It's normal, TFV4 and all the new tanks drink liquid like no tomorrow. One of the reasons why I still hang on to my rda's, I can control the amount I use in the day.

IMO, TFV4s are crap vape gear. They are designed for cloud chasing and require high wattages to light up the coils and after a few puffs your tank heats up so much you could potentially burn your fingers with it. Not practical or economical in the long run.

It's a good buy if you want to impress your friends though.

The best for value tank without consuming too much juice is probably the subtank mini. Been in existence for about a year and still going strong in demand.

Do note juice consumption is also dependent on your build and vaping style. If you really wanna save juice, try the good old kayfun/taifun/russian. throw in 1.0-1.5ohm build vape at 17w and you'll be sure that 30ml bottle could last you a longer time.

These tanks don't really work for lung hitters though.
