you and your fellow vapers must send the management urgent
requests asking if this includes prescribed nicotine inhalers, other
medicinal inhalers, patches and,gum as these put the same amount
of pollutants in the air as e-cigs and your worried about the safety of your
fellow coworkers and your self. tell them we only want our own stuff
in our bodies,not someone else's.

Don't forget perfume, cologne, hair spray, and air fresheners. We don't know what's in them either. And, how do we know that the carbon monoxide from the parking garage isn't getting into the building?

I consider myself lucky that nobody has said a word about my vaping at work yet except to ask me what that "thing" is.

I try not to be obvious about it and will probably go outside a bit when the weather warms up, but I am waiting for the hammer to drop. Not sure how long it will take though, I work for a construction company that seems to not be bothered by too much. But I work in the office with the stuffy guys so we shall see.

I come on here for info on new equipment and new juices, not to complain because my employer told me i can't vape at my desk.

Sweet rebuttal dood. You obviously didn't come to this thread for the former, but to mock others for something like the latter.

So, again: sweet rebuttal dood.

...I havent seen my boss in a month, and i supervise hundreds of people that call me the "bad news bear". Mostly because if i show up at someone's office or work area, it means they are probably under investigation. So people avoid my office like the plague...

...and here I thought this was just a forum on e cigs. Never thought I would also get such priceless career advice, THANKS!!! Perhaps I should work the word "auditor" into my sentences more often in meetings with annoying co-workers.

If my boss said you cant vape at work and i say why he says because i said so. Thats fine its his business, But dont say because its for the health of the employees
when its ok for the fat employees to shovel fast food at lunch everyday, you cant pick and choose and say thats unhealthy so you cant do it, but this over here is also unhealthy but its ok... and the if you dont like it quit. thats exactly what i would do i wouldnt work for a company that made a argument like this unhealthy is unhealthy ban it all then.

If the FDA would actually post lists of tested things that create outgassing, vapor, smoke, and chemical vapors in the order of toxicity, vaping would probably land in the safe zone, whatever that is. We inhale lots of things in a typical day that our doctor wouldn't call safe. You can't walk down the street without inhaling car exhaust gases. Downtown, it's magnitudes worse.

Still, vaping in a closed area may not be as safe as not doing so. We leave fragrances in the air, if not some chemicals that irritate others. If the boss rules out vaping, then we have to stop or look for a job where it's not. My wife doesn't really care for the odor that some juices leave in the air. It seems that the more I like a juice, the worse it smells to others. Go figure.

If I worked inside and there was a vaping ban, I'd head for the men's room once in a while and power vape some 24mg juice next to the exhaust duct. Once an hour would probably be about right.

You obviuosly didn;t even read my post. Didn't you start to vape to quit smoking? If you couldn't smoke at your desk why would you vape at your desk? Vaping should be a means to an end.

it is of no concern to anyone why one vapes.
it can't hurt you. why must we create more
social outcast's?

I believe they are trying to imply that vaping is unhealthy for those around you.(Second hand vape) Whereas eating junk food only harms the person eating it.

True in their eyes. But the overweight person eating unhealthy food is gonna cost the company more in production and health care cost. as compared to me who takes a hit of vapor and continues to produce. or now stop production so i can go outside to vape makes no sense to me.

70% of the population in the
US is taking at least one medication.
50 % at least two. with every breath
and through expulsion through the
skin microscopic amounts of medication
along with their metabolized components
are mixing together in the air all around us.
lord knows what kind of new and hazardous
substances are being created. this could
be the cause of the increase in cancer in
the so called non risk groups for all we know.
yet this proves the adage, what they don't see
won't hurt them. i use a generic cigalike with
a esmsrt clearo and 100% PG which produces
hardly any vape and none when exhaled.
i use it every where. even in check out lines.
the dark blue battery and black drip tip appears
to be a pen hanging out of my mouth. i fiddle
around with it in my hand as if it was one.
nobody bats an eye. not even a second look.
this time its the irrational majority's turn to suck it up.
regards
mike

I totally agree with you. A couple of posters on this thread said that their employers have started charging an extra charge for nicotine users on their health insurance. I wonder why those that are over weight are not charged such a fee?

God yes. I would be THRILLED if our inane lawmakers banned perfume EVERYWHERE. That stuff is the BANE of my existence. Just a few weeks ago at Walmart, we're standing there checking out... and at the next self-checkout over, this woman, I swear to god, she must have gotten into a 55-gallon drum of whatever that stink was that she was wearing. I had to ask my husband if he minded finishing the checkout, because I had to get outside and breathe some "fresh" air before I passed out -- even car exhaust was better!!!

Also, it normalizes unhealthy eating, because everyone can see it happening. And what if I bring my kids to work, what kind of example is this for them? Anyone who wants to eat unhealthy food should eat it outside by the dumpsters, along with the smokers.
