Nothing but vaping works for us. Yea I smoked the FDA way for 30 years. Tried almost every method of quiting possible, and nothing worked. Haven't tried in years. My stress levels are at an all time high(not kidding), and I don't have any will power to quite? Picked up a good E-Cig, and haven't smoked since. Yet "There continues to be no scientific support for the anecdotal claims that e-cigarettes are an effective smoking cessation aid." The only explanation is that we are all freaks on here. Just how stupid are they? Or should I say how stupid do they think we are? Or am I alone and they are right?

To be honest I sort of thought that might be true when I first visited ECF. I thought, "look at all those dim-bulbs patting each other on the back! Pff... sure, junk like that always works if you really, really, really want to quit... same kind of people who could probably quit cold turkey if they wanted too.... right, but how long until they go back to smoking again?"

Then I stumbled across the ECF success stories... Wow. There are some really powerful stories there and you can tell from reading them that they were written by actual humans.

That's what really made me whip out the ol' credit card.

Yep I am a freak!

Was told twice today that if I REALLY wanted to quit smoking I would have just quit without a problem. Yeah well i tried cold turkey multiple times. the best was half a day.. Tried every other available method and even the few times I quit the withdrawl from analogs drove me up the wall.

How come this way I was able to quit without it all? I really think FDA and health Canada wants us to suffer for our sins.

I honestly haven't figured out yet what they are so afraid of. All I know for certain at this point is that the truth does scare them.
I'm not much of a conspiracy theory kind of guy, so I don't want to think it's all about money, but I'm old enough to know that it does all boil down to that. Money.
I'm sure the BigCig industry is riding the FDA's ... like a wet diaper......
No doubt BigPharma is taking large bites from their buttocks too......
The lobbyist are pulling the short hairs of their bought-and-paid-for politicians and the FDA is too weak to just take a deep breath and do the right thing because they are just a patsy whipping boy organization who does whatever their last powerful bully handlers told them to do.
Folks..... once what we have already figured out reaches the rest of society there is BIG MONEY to be made and they are not in the loop!
They can not allow this to continue. At least not until they get their ducks in a row and get in on the cash flow somehow.

If you think the FDA or the government is motivated solely by their concern for our safety, then why are they still allowing tobacco to be on the market?
Come on......

Yes?

Oh.

Actually . . . as far as the FDA is concerned. I am an adult. Let me repeat that.

I am an adult.

I am an adult.

You hear me FDA?

I am an adult.

I am harming nobody.

I am an adult.

I can make decisions on my own.

I'm a big boy.

Is that clear enough FDA lurkers? Got it? Go ahead, let's make this public.

I'm pretty sure you should simplify your post. I don't think the FDA has the kind of reading comprehension required to understand this. Maybe if you threw some cash at them in large quantities it would help.

OK, so I guess there are a lot of good smelling freaks. Oh wait, that make us normal. It's very confusing.

In all honesty Carless has it dead on. Now they have 2 problems (at least). What they forgot to realize. If you mention it in a bill, statistics show that there is a dramatic increase in people actually buying vaping equipment. This is the same as Obama's talks about assault weapons ban, sales have never been higher.

What else is easily overlooked, is that there is support in favor of vaping from non smoking spouses, and co-workers that are all in favor of vaping. These people are easily ...... off about intervention for money. My wife would go off.

As others have said, the money is b=a big part of the problem - tax dollars and Big Pharma campaign contributions spurring on bans. The other part of the problem is, I believe, a "Anti-Smoker Psychosis". There is so much hatred out there for smokers that it makes the "anti's" apoplectic to think we have another option other than quitting the "way they tell us to" or to pay insane taxes and just die.
