I do an inhale into my mouth, puff (exhale all that out) and then 2nd inhale into my mouth, 3rd inhale into lungs, hold for a second and exhale.
Before vaping, I'm not sure how I smoked. Cause I'll still have occasional smoke (I'm around a pack every 2 weeks currently, no serious intention to quit) and vaping has changed how I smoke. I smoke for flavor now (yep, I enjoy flavor of smoke). So, I do the puff / inhale thing with smokes as well, and flavor is good. If anything, with smoking, I now take smaller drags cause it ain't about getting as much nicotine into my system for the 9 minutes I decide to brave the cold every couple hours. Instead, it's a bit more sacred and something I find enjoyment in, about once a day.
Occasionally, I'll try some other way of vaping, like what you all mention in this thread, but most of the time I'm going with habit I've ingrained and the puffing thing works well for me, I guess.
