What are the rules anyway?

Now that we have mods swarming all over everything I'd like some clarification on what we're allowed to talk about.

Any mention at all about Blu, in whatever context, seems to get the thread moved to Blu's private forum for them to control.

The same might be true of posts discussing the ECA. At least one was moved for them to control.

Certain topics generate pre emptive threats about behaviour.

So please mods, could you tell us what the rules and buzzwords are that set you off?

from what i have been told by SJ is promoting Blu in anyway the thread is moved to the blu thread. the same is applied to any advertisement or blatant spam. it is up to the mods judgment has to what to do about it. i have read the most recent one involving pete and that is taken as promoting even if a joke. now i have suggested that it be restored and the spam removed. when an action is challenged in most case their is a review and that is what is going on at the moment. Kate i understand you wanting to be told what is against the rule here and spam and promoting other then in approved places is against the rules if you don't believe me re-read em they do get updated from time to time. in the interest of fairness and information i also point you to this post

I'm not in any way abusing mods, I'm trying to find out what the rules are.

It's obviously not about promotion because the latest thread that mentioned Blu was not promotion, the word just happened to be mentioned in the way I might mention I use Janty or e-cigs.co.uk.

Clarification of what words are moderated and what topics would be helpful.

The original post says "... I'm looking to purchase something in the price range of a blu, or cheaper..." and because the word Blu was used the thread was moved.

This is not promotion, it's an enquiry.
