Interests or crafts: Hmmm ... Well, I was a professional wildlife artist and toured the country doing about 25 wildlife art shows a year for about 15 years. I've always loved wildlife and hanging out in the woods. My late husband and I built our home in the middle of a forest with no neighbors in sight. I'd camp as often as I could even when I was touring. You probably have no idea how difficult it is to get ready for a formal reception in a 9 x 9 tent, but I'm sure you can imagine - lol. Anyhow, I had to quit when I got MS because of the physical requirements of setting up and tearing down a 18' booth and schlepping my stuff alone all over the country. Tough to do when you use a cane.
I have a large studio in my house that is gathering dust until my neurologist can find the right meds to make my limbs behave themselves. It's tough to paint with the detail that I am accustomed to using when my arms spasm and I can barely feel anything that I touch. I'm determined to find the right seizure prescription so that I can get back to what I love most - painting. It's always been how I defined myself: "an artist" Ya can't give up on your own personal definition.
Here's one of my paintings with close-ups called "See Ya Later, Alligator". It's an 18" x 24" oil painting on masonite: (You'll need to click on the thumbnails to see them larger)
