I wanted to show you ladies something that I just finished making. These are magnets done decoden style, reusing lids from water/soda bottles.

The picture's not the best, just took a quick one to show you ladies, I'll do better pics if I decide to list them on my shop (thinking I may give them as Christmas gifts to all of the women in my family/friends).

I didn't attach the magnets yet, they're almost as big as the lids! Lol, I may need to get smaller magnets. I got the strong ones because I can't stand when my magnets fall off the fridge.

You know what happens to these when they get hot? Puff up like marshmallows! Lol, last night I had set them on top of the toaster oven and forgot they were there when I turned it on, and I found them a few minutes later puffed up with the larger jewels tilted at an angle. They did shrink back down when they cooled, and even shrank a little lower in the lids. Guess I'd better keep them off of the toaster oven... :p

I wandered off for a bit, and got lost! ;)

Finished, or mostly finished the bits for the dollhouse. I have done a wee hat, the stand for it is just made out of clay. The feathers are from a sparrow, that met a rather untimely end against one of the sun room windows, so they are very small. It's off to my flatmate in NZ for Christmas.

The dress on the form ( also made from clay) is made out of an old embroidered handkerchief, which belonged to my 81 year old MIL's MIL. Which got me to thinking, of a little something for my sister in law for Christmas.

The dress is for her, made out of her Grandmother's hanky. The spool of thread that I am using for a base, is made from an old spool of silk thread from the Grandmother's sewing box, which they have given to me. She had everything stamped with her name, so I have left that on the hanky and worked it into the underskirt.

The dress form is 5 and a half inches tall, so none of these things are very large. If I had been thinking I would have put down a coin for size, but then..lol...that would require thinking.
