I got a crapload of mods. And I'm due for a new one. I am pretty sure temperature control will be the future. That said I will probably wait for taxes go get back. I figure the dna 40 and other TC chips have been out for the better part of a years (time) by now and something new should be just around the corner. I am throwing the end of the Chinese new year into that calculation.

Is my logic flawed?

Is anyone aware of any pending "new chips sets"?

I guess I just see a lot of potential with the TC. From increased battery life, smaller mods, and the ability to use different wicking materials that were off limits due to burning.

Is anyone keeping a master list of available devices with TC??

I have the same gut feeling as you....that something will be popping out soon. As temp control (my respect to Evolv) is still new, it still has ways to go to reach maturity. I'm still in a dilemma to either wait or get a SX Mini M now...haha.

As far as I've read, the following are TC mods that I know of....feel free to add if I'm missing any:

1) Vaporshark DNA40 / rDNA40
2) Vaporflask DNA40
3) Hcigar DNA40
4) SX Mini M Class
5) Smok Xpro M80 Plus
6) Pioneer4you IPV4 (Firmware upgrade coming soon)

Yep those Mini's look very nice. I was also considering that. I learned several years ago not to be a "first adopter" is has cost me big bucks and much regret in the vaping world over the years. There are plenty of people willing to do that, they dont need me.

I saw this which is coming out this month Invader Mini - Heatvape

ALLEGEDLY!

We should also have a master list of prebuilt nickel coils. I know Vapor Shark has contracted Kanger and Aspire. They have them on the Vapor Shark web site.

It seems to me that the rate of release of new mods has accelerated. As soon as one starts shipping the next version is announced. Before all the reviews are in, the next version starts shipping. So I don't think there is any "best" time to jump in. When you see something you like just go for it. If your purchase works for you, relax until the itch gets you again. If you don't like what you bought, flip it quick and start saving for the next one!

The Kanger TC coil heads are already available but a bit pricey!
