I smoke marlboro ultra light 100's for over 30 yrs. Well, I might have started with marlboro light 100's but anyway. A pack a day usually unless I went to the bar or casino, then it could be 2 packs. I now vape only about 3ml a day of 8mg. Unless, of course I go to the bar or casino..then it's more like 5ml but still 8mg.

I actually smoked everything:
marlboro or camel lights, sometimes swisher sweets, often cigars, dunhills and American Spirits. It all depended on what I was in the mood for. So, I figured my tobacco "level" was around 1.6-1.8 (not counting the cigars).

I started out with the 18 and that held me really well. That was in January of this year. I am starting to get some juices in the 12 range now with the idea that I will start decreasing the nic. over time.

Smoked ultra-light 100's for 30 years around 1 to 1.5 PPD

Started vaping almost 4 months ago, 24mg was waaaay to high, switched to 18mg for three weeks then to 12mg. After around 5 weeks of 12mg, started my own DIY juice and it's at 10mg. In a few weeks, I'll drop it to 7mg and press on. Every time I drop the nic, I vape more then it tapers off...then I drop the nic--rinse and repeat!

Since I smoked ultra-light 100's, it meant I'm addicted to the "art of smoking" as the docs call it--the nicotine not so much. I'll let nature take it's course, I might vape constantly but all part of the fun I guess. My sister started vaping 19 months ago and started at 24mg for 3 months, 18mg for 6 months, 12mg for 6 months is now at 6mg for the past 4 months and will drop to 3mg soon. The race is on to whom can hit "zero nic" first.

Will I quit vaping after hitting zero? ??? Most likely that won't happen, but I will happily inform folks it has no nicotine... flavored water vapor is the goal. At least the beer has something in it... :toast:

I smoked Camel Filters for 25 years (first five years were whatever I could get my hands on--started smoking at 13). Started vaping @ 24mg and 16mg depending on the time of day (mixed them for 18mg most of the time), then a few weeks later figured I could drop to 12mg, and that got me back to smoking part time for a couple of weeks until I could get some 18mg juice.

Now I'm at 18mg mostly, juices I like a lot and will vape more I use 12mg. Don't plan on moving down again anytime soon--found my sweet spot and don't want to risk going back to analogs again.

I'm amazed at how many people can drop to less than 1/2 their starting nic levels within a month. I was jonesin' wreck when I did that.

I don’t like such polls too much but I decided to reply to that particular one.

I smoked the cigarettes for 35 years. For last three years I smoked roll-your-own cigarettes. I used the blends made by Drum or Mac Baren, regular 8 mm filters made by OCB, Mascotte, or Gizeh, and rolling papers Mascotte Extra or OCB black (the thin ones) made by the respective companies. I smoked 34 cigarettes a day or 1000 cigarettes a month.

Now I vape about 6 ml of 18 mg/ml liquids a day and I think about switching to 24 mg/ml ones. As my main device I use Smoktech The Natural MOD with Smoktech RSST atomizer. I own also VAMO V2 SS MOD with AGA-T2 atomizer but I don’t like them too much.

With The Natural and RSST I use 3/4 coils made out of the Kanthal 0.25 mm (30 AWG) wire and 20×35 mm wicks made from mesh 400. I build them using a modified “petar k method”. With VAMO V2 SS and AGA-T2 I’m forced to use the oxidized wicks. They’re complicate in the preparation and less stable in the usage in the comparison to the wicks working with Smoktech devices. I don’t see also the advantages of the electronically controlled MOD over the mechanical one. I my opinion a mechanical device is easier in usage and gives the better results. These are the reasons for which I prefer The Natural with RSST rather then VAMO V2 with AGA-T2.

I smoked Marlboro Red Label (the old Medium) 100s. I started out on 24mg because it was blu and that's all there was. I moved on to 18mg soon after (which was when I completely stopped smoking) and now a month later I'm using 11/12mg depending on vendor. I'm planning to go to 6mg pretty soon. Probably the next order I place.

Smoked pack a day of marlboro blacks. Currently on 24 mg on clearos and cartos. Was thinking about switching to a RBA tho like a Phoenix and I have heard since they are so much more effective ypu might not need as much nic in your liquid. Is this true? Might not make the liquid switch just yet, but anything to keep my habit at bay

New to this forum thing. Started vapor in Feb of this year. Was a 2 pk a day Marlboro light smoker for many years. Started with Green Smart Living ecigs which I liked but kept getting bad cartridges & smoke shop refused to even talk about replacing them & never suggested I contact company so I got mad. Made the switch to Blu. Absolutely love the flavor of the classic black. Started ordering the premium 100's online. Two complaints get bad cartridges or maybe inconsistent would be a better word. Some last as expected some fall way short like will only last until I have switch battery out then get that yucky chemical taste. Also the shipping times are ridiculous. They warn you that if you choose free shipping you might have problems due to USPS but if you choose paid shipping thru UPS the price is like $10 or $15 for basic ground shipping. I'm sorry but that's just not right. I get other stuff that is bigger & weighs more from another company who charges $6.95 for 2nd day air so I don't get the difference. I usually have to end up paying higher prices at a retail store for original cartridges to get me thru. Thinking about switching but want something that matches the blu classic taste. Any suggestions??
