Well, I bought a few years worth of supplies to stock up in case of a ban.
And I bought a couple of Chucks and a Bartleby.

And I bought a whole bunch of other equipment, cartomizers, and different atomizers to experiment with.
And then I bought some tackle boxes to hold all my stuff.

And then I bought a ton of various flavors to experiment with.
And then I bought more flavors.
And more flavors.

And then I bought a bigger tackle box.

I've been interested in stocking up in case of a ban as well. Is there any information around about the shelf life of the different ingredients? Would you say that buying the ingredients separately and mixing yourself is not only the most cost effective, but will also add to the shelf life?

Thanks for any info.

BTW, I've spent a chunk of my savings on batteries and cartos and juices (and planning to spend more). But I did save up enough to buy my daughter a brand new laptop. She's certainly happy I switched to vaping! :p

If you are truly worried about a ban, you need to stock up on concentrated nic juice, get something like an e-power (an eGo clone that takes generic Li-Ion batteries) or a mod that takes generic batteries, and get a lifetime supply of atomizers. It'll be really hard to ban most of the rest of the gear.

I think the general consensus on shelf-life is around one to two years.
One thing I know for sure though is that sunlight destroys nicotine, so keep the juice out of the sun.

It is definitely the most cost effective thing you can do.
I don't think it would affect shelf-life necessarily, if you are already buying freshly made juice.

I have saved $65 to date. Although, I think I have been saving even more because when I would buy cigarettes I would buy other things at the store and now that I'm not smoking I only go buy things when I need them. I started vaping on 2/11 and have been analog free for 9 days. I tapered down in the last few weeks.

I think I am going to buy a couple more batteries, attys, and juice and then be done. I want to start tapering off PVs too, because in several months, I am going to be backpacking across Central and South America and think e cigs might not go over well there. I'm already a 6'1" blond woman. I'll be using my savings to fund that journey. If I cool it with PV stuff, that would be another $1K toward my trip which goes soooooo far in Latin America.

I have saved already and not in the hole for vaping .My whole idea was my health and the money .i do little things to congratulate my self on quitting the analogs but since i have had money and had no money thruout my life i am really tight with it .I try to enjoy each little thing instead of buying huge things i cant afford with the savings .Also ,still need to pay off a credit card which is evil !!!
