At first, we just planned to spend all of our usual analog money on getting set up and finding what we liked. That freed us up to not feel guilty about "spending all that money" (I know, it sounds silly, now, it sounded silly then).

Then I treated myself to a nice mod at the 3mo. analog-free mark. DH likes to splurge on liquids, and we both vape pretty heavily and are horrible atty abusers. But you know, even with that stacked against us (and it's time to buy a new device, I do believe...) we've leveled of to where we only spend about 1/5 each month, on average, of what we were spending on analogs.

We've used some to pay down debt, some to spend on more family activities (canoe trips, skiing, camping - an added plus is that we can *breathe* well enough to enjoy those things, now, too!), and we give more intentionally through both donations and through buying PV's, juice, accessories for others, to help get them switched over.

I have saved money, right from the start. And I have purchased several kits, enough juice and DIY supplies for about a year along with plenty of spare parts. I feel that spending $ on vaping is a really positive choice for me AND I am still saving $. That is likely due to the cost ($11) of analogs here...one pack a day costs over $4000 per year - makes it easy to save while vaping. What to do with the savings? Save it or spend it - and enjoy!

Oh wait I am married with children.... nevermind

ROFL... I was reading through this thread thinking to myself that money wasn't an issue before or after because I'm a DINK (Double Income No Kids).

I was a light smoker but have probably broken even in the few months since I started analogs again. Purchases include Ego-T Kit, LR Cartomizers, 5V Box Mod Kit, and several 30ml eliquids. I'm pretty frugal and wish I had purchased a nicer VV kit to start with.

How much have I saved??? Not a single red cent, but that is not because vaping is so expensive, but rather any excuse I can make to buy something, I will. But now that I have purchased enough equipment and juice to last me a year, I think those savings should start adding up ... than is until someone comes out with a Diamond encrusted Custom tailored PV :D
