what did you smoke before you started vaping?

Pall Mall menthols...mainly because I'm a cheap ....... but the flavor was not bad at all. Cool Rush flavor eliquid from LiquidXpress stocked to last me maybe a month...my co-worker keeps buying out their stock whenever the store makes fresh batches.
Marlboro Reds, not really interested in replicating the flavor. The only 'tobacco' style flavor I enjoy now is RY4
I smoke the cheapest thing I can find. I won't be getting my stuff for at least 2 more days so no vaping for me yet.
Right before I quit it was roll-your-own in an attempt to save money when the price of brand-names went out of sight! Before that was Camel wide-body preferably, but most anything Camel except menthol... 
I also smoked Pall Mall but Lights (blue). I haven't found anything like them either, but the juices I've tried are all better. Now Pall Mall tastes nasty. LOL

I was considering doing that but decided to go this route instead.
Started with Marlboro Lights,
then Reds for a tiny bit,
then Newport for a while until they started tearing me up,
then back to the Marlboro Lights,
Parliament Lights until I couldn't afford them anymore,
then Winston Lights after they quit doing the additives thinking I was doing the "healthier" choice,
and finally Pall Mall Lights once price became a factor again and I found their flavor wasn't really all that bad
Started vaping with a tobacco flavor. Switched to a coffee. Next time I tried tobacco it was awful. Still have most of a 24 mg nic level bottle of Tobacco Pure if anyone wants it.

I typically smoked Marlboro reds, but if money got tight, whatever was on sale at my regular gas station or Walgreens.
Camel lights and when I initially started vaping I thought I would need and prefer a good tobacco flavor, but after discovering the enormous selection of available flavors realized I didn't need it. Not that I'm not open to a good tobacco flavor but I have been enjoying the heck out of fruity flavors as well as some other oddball types.
During my 37 years of smoking, I've smoked a lot of things. However, since Camel came out with Turkish Gold, I've been smoking those. I also smoked pipe for a while. I liked that, due to the variety of flavours. Now, being a newbie myself, I love vaping different flavours, without the side effects. I'm actually thinking of not getting any tobacco flavours anymore.

Started off with Marlboro Blend 27's - then Newports - then ended off with Camel Menthol Silvers
Started off with Dunhills about ten years ago, then Lucky (the Roger Sterling preferred analog, lol), then my last analog was a Marlboro Light.
