vodka is an antifreeze .... as are many items. sensationalism makes for news.
anyone wonder what big tobacco did with that HUGE TV advertising budget they used to spend? they rolled it over to lobbing and disinformation -

picture this... regulation could = each e-liquid requiring testing costing $500,000 per batch .... who would be for that you ask? those that could afford it

I love the way the media twists the truth to scare people.

e-liquids DO NOT contain anti-freeze!!!
They do contain a chemical that is ALSO in anti-freeze. That is Propylene Glycol which is for the most part inert. Not to be confused with Ethylene Glycol which is poisonous. I'm thinking that is what they are hoping to do. Get people to confuse the two.

There is yet another chemical that is also widely used in anti-freeze and in many e liquid formulas. It's called Dihydrogen Monoxide. This chemical is very dangerous to humans in large quantities. And has even killed many people due to suffocation.

Once you heard something like that would you still want to vape something that contained Dihydrogen Monoxide? Do you know what Dihydrogen Monoxide is? It's elemental brake down looks like this...H2O...It's water.

Now did I lie in my statement? Not at all. Many people have drowned. Which, in a way, is recieving too large of a quantitie of water. And drowning is a form of suffocation. So I didn't lie. I simply misled you by using terms not commonly used and linking them to known dangerous terms and items. It's called minipulation, and it seems to be the norm in the politicaly driven "mainstream media" these days.

Do your reasearch!!!! A very wise attage goes "Believe most of what you see, 1/2 of what you read, and none of what you hear".
I do have to say though, you do have the right frame of mind in comming into these forums and asking the people who are the closest to this subject.
If there is something that you don't understand, look it up! Ask questions! Come to your own conclusions!!

And as far as the Propylene Glycol and Ethylene Glycol being close to eachother there are also two other chemicals that are simular in make up... Water (H2O) and Sulfuric Acid (H2SO4).

The best way to fight ignorance is with intelligence.

Read my previous post. PG is used as antifreeze but it is non-toxic. It is important for us to have accurate information.

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ Yes learn the facts. The ANTZ's use that kind of statement to their advantage. It's also in my Breathing treatment medication. And hand lotion and other beauty products.

No, they TRY to use that to their advantage. It is easily defeated when using additional information. Running from the truth helps no one.

Excellent example, Screamin Eagle.

Getting those reporting it or pushing legislation to actually REVEAL that additional education is proving to be an enormous challenge, however.

Alot of times it's what the media doesn't tell you that is the REAL truth.
Case in point.....This weekend the media has been reporting on the truckers march on Washington. At one point they cut to a reporter in traffic in a van moving right along. He reports that he is on the outer loop of the 495 beltway and that the truckers don't seem to be having an effect there. What he doesn't tell you is that the truckers were only tieing up the INNER loop of the 495. So yeah, he was moving smoothly IN THE OPPOSITE DIRECTION!!!!!
I just have to wounder sometimes....Who holds the media accountable for blantant misleading information like this?

Is any of this even remotely true, and if not, why would mainstream media report what seems to me to possibly be blatant lies (propaganda) and how can they legally get away with that (spreading slander)??

1. The only politicians who are calling for banning vaping have two things in common: they are all liberals and they all take money from the Big Pharm. industry.

2. The organized groups who want vaping banned like the ALA, AHA, ACA and ASH all have one thing in common: they are primarily funded by Big Pharm. and do their bidding for them.

3. 95% of the major news outlets have one thing in common: they are all progressive liberals, love liberal politicians and believe in promoting the "nanny state" philosophy that we are not capable of making our own decisions and must be protected from ourselves.

If you want to know the truth, then join CASAA. It is vapers like us who have joined together to seek the truth and promote the truth about vaping. Plus you will find a wealth of scientific data on vaping, especially the newest study out of Drexel University in Philadelphia.

And for the 10,000th time: eliquid does not have antifreeze in it.
