Manage a 15-man crew in the utility industry - low 60's

In my spare time I could best be described as a venture capitalist I suppose. I scout a market for a potential profitable business opportunity. Invest capital in the start-up, build a customer base, etc. Once said business is profitable...I sell it. :) Yeah I know, weird, but I'm not the type to run a business forever. There's always a new idea to explore! - avg. over last 10 years has been about $50k/year.

It also helps that the wife is now a manager in the finance industry pulling low 60's as well.

I make magic tricks for magicians and make as much money as I do product. I love my job. I go out to my workshop and try to figure out how to design and build things for people who wish to deceive and entertain you. I love to vape and I quit smoking analogs the day I bought my first Fuma starter kit. By the way their product is great and the starter kit only runs 29 bucks at a local retailer.

I'd like to do that too (could have done it in Cali) but they make it hard here in Oregon - you pretty much have to go to college 4 years. I'm trying to get a j.o.b. first and then get my prerequisites nights and weekends and finally apply (fingers crossed) to get into the program at the community college -- soo many prerequisites first. I'm already 40, maybe I can get a nursing degree by the time I'm 50

I started as an LVN because I lost my job as a marketing coordinator with a finance company during the housing bust. I had to find a new career, fast. I did a one year program and I made $20 an hour right out of school and within two years, I was making $50,000 a year with overtime. I went to an LVN-RN bridge program while I was working and never skipped a beat. I've got my sights set on becoming an advanced practice nurse, I'll probably be there when I'm 50, LOL!

Lots of people will tell you that LVN's have crappy jobs and get no respect. They would be wrong, IMO. It's a great starting point for someone who has limited resources.

I'm a nurse as well. The words "tobacco Free Campus" scared me into finding an alternative.

I travel so I am not on a campus. I just found myself smoking more and more in my car while driving so much and then smelling awful when I got to my patient. Still waiting on my Riva. I think the mail man skipped out on me today.

I am one of the less than 50% of Americans that actually pays federal income taxes. I just wish i wasn't so hated by my government for working hard and footing the bill. You would think they would appreciate it.

I'm with you on that one n2xe. I work a full time job and have several rentals. Tenants are having a real tough time coming up with the rent and that includes the ones on state assistance. It is really not getting any better for this economy. A lot of states are going bankrupt and the government can't seem to print the money fast enough.
Sad times for The USA.

I work in the IT field and make mid-six figures. I'm actually now an executive, but was making pretty much the same salary as a storage architect; as somone pointed out, storage is a very hot field in IT (and has been for the last 10 years). I used to do a lot of virtualization work (VMware), another great field, before I was sequestered into meetings for 10 hours a day. :(

This sounds kind of fun. I'm 30 and I'm a financial planner. I opened my fee-only practice after receiving my Master's degree. I absolutely love it. I get to travel a lot and meet new people. I won't say how much I earn, but I can tell you that I'm very frugal and save a lot.

Even though the health benefits of vaping are of the utmost importance; the fact that I'm saving a couple thousand yearly on switching certainly helps. Yes, I've added in the variables for total savings.

Electronics Technician in the Navy. They say I make 6 figures with benefits added, I see around 70. I have sweet offer to go to afghanistan for 140k to replace radios in humvees but it's contract work and dependent on the US continuing to be imperialist...Imma reenlist for 4 more and see how the cookie crumbles before letting go of my government teat.

For the last 3 years I have run my own company hence the name. I do electronic repair on game consoles, computers ect..
I also build custom stand-up arcades and home media servers. Before that I sold cars for lexus.
Someone could boost my annual income by buying one of my arcade machines :) *shameless plug*
Vaping is great also makes a fun hobby.
