I am a brokerage compliance officer (stock and bond cop) at a bond trading firm in NY. Boring, tedious work, but it pays the bills. When my kids ask me what I do, I tell them that I am a "corporate fixer". Bring me a problem I will find a way to fix it.

Sometimes I feel like I am the guy who cleans up after the elephant at the zoo....but instead of a bucket and shovel, I have a thimble and spoon......nice.

My background is in bookkeeping/accounting. Did that and realized quick I would rather be doing something else.

Was a floral designer for a couple of years after that (loved that job but the hours suck...you work just about every holiday).

Moved to the Bahamas and couldn't work due to their immigration laws (they hire their own people before hiring foreigners, and there are a lot of Bahamians that have accounting backgrounds).

After being out of work for 6yrs and moving back to the States, I had no desire to go back to work. Fortunately I don't have to work (hubby makes good money). So I became a stay-at-home mom to what are now two teenage boys. :)

I'm a disabled vet. I was a tracked vehicle mechanic. It was fun but there was a lot of heavy lifting. Now i'm going to school. I have associates degrees in auto mechanics and performance motor sports. I'm also working on degrees for welding, auto body repair, computer networking and psychology. Wish me luck.

By day I am an admissions counselor at a successful Audio Engineering, Film, and Radio college and by night, I am a live sound engineer, lighting operator, and stage manager at The World Famous Comedy Store on the sunset strip. I also freelance as a music producer/session musician in addition to making my own original music. vaping will save my voice!!
