just the fear that it will become illigal to buy juice or use PV's in public...little scary

Yeah, this colors the way I view the activity insofar as vaping and thinking about vaping invariably places my consciousness closer to an anxiety and anger about being oppressed and the nature of oligarchic oppression in general. It also changes my attitude about what, when and how much to buy, as I'm tempted to hoard.

The complexity compared to cigs.

+1. Batteries, chargers etc., as well as the broader fact that it's so high-tech and inorganic, 21st Century. This is one of the reasons I'm resisting VV, even though I believe everyone who says that it's a better vaping experience. It would add yet another layer of futuristic sci-fi style to the pastime.

More batteries to charge (besides my phone and blue tooth and computer... Washing, rinsing drying, filling, dry burning, mixing, juice all over my coffee table, miles more paper towels than I use to buy. Having to explain to customers walking past my office why I have paraphernalia scattered all over my desk, Hiding my ecig like I use to hid my ...... when a police officer pulls up beside me... hording hundreds of cartos in a tupperware that are probably burnt but not wanting to throw them away. (maybe someday....) Remembering the good (bad) old days when all I had to do for some nic is pull out a cig and "flip my bic".... other than that I LOVE vaping .... ;-)~

Flavors that eat up tanks, Cartos, crappy knockoffs. Folks saying your not suppose to smoke (fill in the blank). People who have no Idea of what they are talking about wanting to ban E-cigs (Rachael Ray). The cost pretty much. Everything else I love. Mostly the hobby aspect and social aspect of it. Keeps me busy, playing around rebuilding nova heads and phoenix wicks so far and my research of new PV's and RBAs etc. Plus talking to you guys. I moved here to San Antonio and haven't really made alot of friends. So it's pretty much myself, my wife, and my son. So I look forward to talking to you guys about my favorite past time which is vaping. I never been good at sports, building models, collecting stamps is boring etc. It's kept me sane lol. My wife has the equivalent with coupons believe it or not. She's big on one of the coupon forums. Trading, selling, talking about them. It's her version of vaping so to say lol, cool part is I have a closet full of free razors and toothpaste heh.

That I FINALLY quit smoking and I'm not saving that much money. That I'm STILL addicted to Nic. Fussing with stuff when I just want to vape. Going through paper towels like they're cheap or something. Having to keep replacing stuff when again I just want to vape. Buying juice that taste terrible to me and being stuck with them. Worrying that my vape mail won't come before I run out of what I need. Vape junk laying all over my house. Dry hits (YUCK!!). Not knowing what stuff means, what I need, or even what I would like.

What I like..... BEING A NON SMOKER!!

I don't like:

1. funny looks and comments when I'm outside one of those "less reputable" places. Usually though, it's some old drunk at a hole-in-wall-bar giving me the ol' squinty-eye until he finally realizes and says, "Oh hey, that's one of those Eeee-lectric cigarettes, huh?"

2. ritualistic filling/charging cycles. Self explanatory.

3. not being able to get replacement ANYTHING at the local gas station/convenience store at a reasonable price. Which sucks since my secondary goal of quitting was to save money (so far, so good as long as I can keep stocked up with buying online ;))

4. dehydration. I drink a LOT of fluids. I did before anyway, but it's more so now. I'm probably on par with what I was drinking when I was living in AZ... and probably STILL not getting enough.
Also: it may be related to dehydration or some other unrelated factors... but shortly after I quit smoking/started vaping, I noticed my skin and gums seem more sensitive now. Not sensitive as in feeling; but rather, it doesn't seem to take as much effort to break the skin or make my gums bleed a bit when I brush/floss.

And just to provide a quick counter to all the negative this thread portends, I'd like to mention that I haven't gotten sick once in the year and a half since I quit; I've had very few runny noses (even during pollen season!), and coughed up less phlegm in that whole time than I did in any given week back when I was smoking.

Aside from juices, I don't like the fact that 90% of the hardware I purchase is unmarked. Cartomizers with no Ohm rating, batteries with no manufacture's name, unboxed kits, etc. The vaping industry has a way to go. I mean a little standardization would be nice. However, once everything goes mainstream - prices will rise and things will go to s...
