i find it very strange that the thingy we all love hasnt got a standard name yet apart from e-cig. smokers have fags cigs baccy smokes rollies cancer sticks etc that everyone understands, were faffing about when we missplace our thingy and cant comunicate what we are looking for.

I call it my fake cigarette. I worked with a married couple from Germany for a short time. The husband had many ego setups and the wife called them his fake cigs. Stuck with me since then

First and foremost I call them by their name. Like, "This is my Provari..." or "My Galileo and Kayfun...", which usually gets people's interest. I then say, "It's my vaporizer..." and only when I get that blank stare (and I usually do) I say quickly, "... my e-cig".
But then again, no one who sees a Provari and Kayfun will think of traditional e cigs anyway, so it's really just semantics.

My vape. If I'm talking to someone who knows nothing of vaping, I call it my e-cig. I don't think it matters what we call it. Those who pass me on the street with their shirts and coats pulled up over their noses, while glaring at me and waving their hands over their faces like I'm trying to contaminate them with radioactive material don't stop to ask me what I call it. They see a cloud, and they seem to believe it's going to kill them.
My Hubby and I call it our puffers. when people ask what it is I say Vaporizor generally
