We Canadians are getting robbed by vendors here, the prices of juices are absolutely ridiculous and quality is CRAP compared to the US..

I ended up just getting a PO Box in buffalo and I'm there once a month anyway, I'm able to get my juices steeped from my po box and I will never buy locally due to pricing, quality control issues, ingredient quality, etc ..

I know of a Canadian vendor that mixes his juice in his kitchen, which is fine for DYI, but not acceptable for mass distribution in my opinion..

until the CBSA relaxes on the ejuice shipments, we'll continue to get gouged here because there's no competition, so I don't blame the Canadian vendors for seizing the opportunity ...

The more research I do on different US and international juices and how to get them here into Canada I do see that we canucks are getting somewhat gouged by Canadian online vendors. Granted things are a bit more expensive here in Canada but its real hard to justify $15.00 plus $10.00+ shipping for a 30ml juice. I can get US juices (non Chinese)for 8 bucks for 30 mls and 12 bucks for 50 mls with free shipping to canada
I also have a US shipping address and use almost all my hardware orders but will not physically bring juice over the border back into Canada due to it being such a grey area with CBSA. The border guards have no concern for the hardware other than thinking its nifty but with juice you almost have to smuggle it and I'm not going to jeopardize all my online ordering over a few mls of juice. The average wait for non-Canadian juices is now creeping up to a month when it use to be inside 15 days to my doorstep.
I think Canadian vendors have to realize that 10% off some juice or free shipping over $150.00 is real lame if they are intending to keep its customer base more local and not have us searching for a better deal elsewhere.

It's funny that I just noticed this thread b/c I just visited the only B&M vendor in my tiny little NS town today. She's only been open for a couple of months (I just heard about her a couple of days ago) and has a few eGo-C starter kits, CE4's, and a big rack of Juicy-eJuice brand liquids. I normally order everything online but figured since she's the only shop around it would be nice to support her even if it cost me a little more. Here's the big shock: It actually cost less for me to pick up 10ml bottles and a couple of CE4's (the non-rebuildable Stardust type) than it would have for me to order it online... $5 per clearo and $8 for the eJuice (per bottle). Go figure.

I'd never tried Juicy-eJuice before and the Smooth Export Tobacco I got is really nice (very subtle, could vape it all day and not complain) while the Smooth Caramel Tobacco was described to me as being "almost like RY4" I'd say it's a bit too light for my tastes, tiny caramel afternote but practically flavourless, might mix it in with something else to see what I can do with it. Still, it's not bad, just not for me.

Her starter kits were a bit over priced (2 1100mAh eGo-Twist batts, 2 CE4 clearo's, USB/wall charger, soft case, not sure if she includes any eLiquid - I forgot to ask) for $90.

Either way, from now on I'll order my "big" hardware online but she said she can order in pretty much anything so I'll probably get my wicks/coils/etc there now and most of my ejuice (unless I start craving a non-juicy-ejuice variety) - she had probably 30-40 different flavours on display so I won't get bored with that.

I still can't believe how great her prices were for the consumables, since I don't have to pay for shipping I actually save money not to mention the waiting time.

It's not in Trenton, is it?
I just heard of a vendor selling Juicy Ejuice in Trenton. I go to NG but my hubby's father lives really close, so I really should check out the new place, too and stop in and see his Dad.

Nah, Antigonish... Tiny shop, it's called "Meg's Ultimate Vapor" https://www.facebook.com/megsultimatevapor

Where are you at? Wow, that sounds creepy, feel free to PM me your general location (ie. Cape Breton, Pictou County) if you don't want to say much out in public. I'm only asking b/c I order stuff online all the time (gear and juice) with a few friends and we have a bit of a "buyers club" so we can save on shipping costs and whatnot. If you're near Antigonish you're more than welcome to get in on that... It's a pain to have to pay for shipping unless you're ordering a couple hundred dollars worth of stuff so by getting together it makes things a lot more economical (plus it's fun!).

I didn't know there was a place in Trenton BTW. I know there is a shop in New Glasgow proper but I've never been there. When I started there were no local shops so I just got in the habit of buying online. I only checked out Meg's b/c it's walking distance and I was curious to see what she had. Like I said - pleasantly surprised by what I found there.

Small world, eh? Glad to see Antigonish represented, and a store there!
We're in Pictou Co. not far from Pictou town. I was trying to convince the ladies from New Glasgow to open up something in Pictou last weekend, because there are so many vapers in the area now, many can't get into New Glasgow. Two on my road of about 10 people who just started vaping, but either don't do the internet (yeah, there are still those, lol!) or can't get in regularly. We just heard about Trenton in the past couple weeks, they sell Juicy Ejuice which I've never tried and...Amsterdam liquid, which I've also never tried. I sent my husband in to check it out, but he doesn't vape and doesn't know what to look for or ask about. He gets fidgety because there are always crowds in both stores. So I give him a list, and he passes it over-- they pick something from my list and bam- surprise juice.

I'm a huge Stinky Canuck fan. And Vapor Jedi. Have tried a few other online juices which sucked enough for me never to order from again, so I like being able to get into a store and taste test.
I usually go into New Glasgow on the weekend to pick up more clearos and coils and to try a different juice. Prices are high on plain kits but they give a 6 month warranty on hardware, which is great, and better than many. It's amazing how many people like me, who smoked for 38 years, have quit and started vaping. I love it. Am so glad for it, it's 7 weeks tomorrow since I smoked, yay!

Weird that I even found this thread- was searching specifically for Juicy and when you said Tiny Town Nova Scotia- I thought- hey- could be my town!
There is a store opening up in Truro, too not sure when though. Which is sweet cause I'm from Shubenacadie, and pass thru there monthly.

Congrats on your seven weeks! It's good to hear another shop is opening in Truro even though I've yet to even visit the one in NG... I'm going to have to stop in the next time I'm on my way to Halifax - I just never really visit NG it seems...

The Juicy eJuice is good (don't expect it to be as good as some of the "premium" juices out there, but it's more than acceptable and I've tried dozens of different brands over the past couple of years). If you do pick some up be sure to visit the juicy ejuice website (https://shop.juicyejuice.com) b/c they have a rewards program (5 points for signing up, 2 points to sign up for their news letter, 2 points for every review you write on the site. 1 point = $1 so after you accumulate enough points you can order stuff from the website and only pay shipping - you can start redeeming after you accumulate 50 points).

I know what you mean about ending up with ejuice that you don't like - that sucks after paying for it and waiting for it to ship... That's why it's nice to order with some friends, if you get something that isn't to your taste you might be able to trade it /w one of the other buyers for something more acceptable...

What kind of gear do they have at the shop in NG? I'm actually thinking about ordering an Innokin MVP V2.0 and they're ~$60 online... Even if they had one in NG that was a little more expensive I'd still probably pick it up locally just to support the business.

Oh- the lady in Antigonish is the wife of the guy who has the store in Trenton- smaller world!

The MVP would probably be my next purchase, I think the Innokins are 90.00 in New Glasgow. They have some cool things, especially the mods. They sell plain Evod 650 MAH kits, Or Vision Spinner 650 mah kits, 90.00 each plus tax which have nice CE5s to go with, and you get 1 juice with the kit... It got me started, and kept me quit from smoking. They have some mods that I don't understand, or can't tell what the prices are. Juices are 8.00 plus tax- they stock Stinky Canuck (my favorite by far), Vapor Jedi, my second favorite juice, Stylin' Puffers, and DSV/Darkside Creations. I stupidly ordered a bunch from DSV and now have 3 30 ml bottles of what I really liked Bad Teacher, in 24 mgs. Don't care for it now. Not crazy about Darkside's other flavors, except E-plasmic and Golden Shower. Turns out I hate mocha kicker, bloody orange, and chocolate waterfall, which I dumbly bought in 30 mls from the maker. So I'll be piffing or trading at some point.
Other than those 3, I've been lucky, there are two others I'm not crazy about but almost everything I've tried of Stinky's I love.

I was curious about the Export A juice, because that was what I smoked- you like it do you? I seem to really like tobacco flavours as long as they don't taste like American tobacco or pipe/cigar flavour. Love almost every RY4 I've tried, except I had ordered from East Coast Vapes and the 3 juices are completely disgusting- RY4 Double, Caramel Tobacco and Sweet Tarts- all have a horrible smell, and taste like ...... Tried steeping, but it tastes like it smells, and it smells like crap...

I've had great luck so far ordering from allecigsolutions, Stinky Canuck and Canvape, as well as DSV.
I refuse to order directly from China because I want what I want within a reasonable amount of time (although I just won a Hammer Mod from there, so that might change if it arrives in under 6 weeks), and don't mind paying more for a storefront- especially if they know what they are doing, and more than I (which is easy at this point)
Sorry for hijacking this thread- it is exciting what's happening in the vaping world and I'm so glad to meet and talk to like minded people!

The MVP V2.0's are $65 at The End - I sent them a message on Facebook today just to ask about that :). They're actually doing a contest this month where for every bottle of juice you buy you get an entry to win an MVP V2.0 - that might be lucky for you since you already buy your stuff there!

Yeah, I basically exclusively vape tobacco flavours (even after 2 years - people told me I'd move on from them within a month, ha!). I don't really like the sweet fruit/dessert flavours at all. I can do coffee flavours from time to time but basically am an exclusive RY4/555 guy. I don't find the tobacco flavours actually taste like tobacco anyway, they don't remind me of actual cigarettes at all and never did. The "Smooth Export Tobacco" from Juicy-eJuice has been growing on me big time over the last couple of days. The 18mg has a great throat hit and the main flavour notes are caramel and something very subtle in the background that's almost floral (think rosewater). It's also got that note that is almost always present in tobacco that is kind of indescribable, it almost reminds me of the smell of freshly cut hay, something very earthy. I think if you like any tobacco flavour (and you mentioned you ilke RY4) you would definitely wouldn't hate this one, but you might not love it either. It's very light and inoffensive. I'm pretty sure that all the Juicy-eJuice ones that are labeled as "smooth" are lighter in flavour that the non-smooth versions.

I mostly order from canvape for hardware and I order juice from all over the place. Although when I first started I ordered Dekang and other Chinese eJuice I don't do that anymore. I prefer Made in Canada or Made in the US stuff. I worry about the ingredients from China - if companies over there are producing tainted baby formula and counterfeit eggs then who knows what's actually going into the eJuice. That's just my opinion of course, since it's all unregulated the Canadian companies might be just as bad but I feel like it somewhat minimizes the risk.

We did kinda highjack this thread but it's been nice chatting. Feel free to PM me if you'd like that way we can let this thread get back to normal :). Take care!

Darn, hubby came back with 2 juices from The End today, and no mention of a contest! (he dashes in, and out)
That's a great price for the MVP, I may have to go light on juice for the rest of this month, and invest it in an MVP instead. He was the one who told me that the lady in Antigonish is wife/spouse of the guy in Trenton. (Howie's Hydroponics)

No, you're right- the tobacco flavours really don't taste like a cigarette. Which is good- because I don't crave the old flavour AT ALL. I'm amazed how easy it has been. I didn't start with tobacco flavours, I started with fruit and desserts, but really, my happy place is tobacco flavours. I'm rocking a tea flavour
I've never tried any 555, but I've loved both RY4s I got from Vapor Jedi and Stinky Canuck. Unless Stinky's 5 Star is the same as a 555, in which case it's my default flavour. That's the one I crave first thing in the am and last thing at night, just like the old smelly Export A lights I used to love...! The RY4s are so good I want to drink them, could chain them for hours but try to have a bit of restraint. Who knew quitting smoking would be so deliciously easy?
I'm fine with using Chinese technology, I'm not fine using Chinese ejuice. It squicks me out that that's where our nicotine comes from, regardless of the delivery system, patch, gum, inhaler, e-cigarette...
I hope to chat with you again- and get up to Antigonish soon, we go to the Crystal Cliffs at least once a summer.

Awesome, you're a late night person too :).

I should clarify about the contest that's going on at The End - it's not one entry for every jug like I said, it's one entry per purchase, I re-read it on my FB wall after I wrote that other message and realized my mistake.

I love that the name of that place is "Howie's Happy Hydroponics"...I'm sure his business focus is skewed towards growing organic hydroponic ahem tomatos more so than vaping with a name like that... Either way, still cool that there's another shop.

We share the same opinion when it comes to Chinese products. The tech is good (usually...sometimes) but I'm not so sure about the consumables...

I'm sure we'll chat again, whether here or on another thread. It's cool that you visit Crystal Cliffs - such an awesome beach. If you're a beach person take the extra 15 minutes and check out Pomquet beach sometime, I prefer it to Melmerby :). Take care!

Yup- I was a nurse, night shift and old habits never die- I'm up till 3-4:00 usually.

I think he grows...strawberries. That's what's on the card. :)

The Merb- I haven't been there in 25 years- almost drowned there when I was a camp nurse one summer, and it scared me. Warmest waters I've ever been in, but I much prefer a pool or our little swimming hole in the woods-- though I'm a rock hound and am always dragging home interesting rocks- that's why I love the Crystal Cliffs.

Ok- to put it back on track- I don't mind paying higher prices for a brick and mortar store- the End has a 6 month warranty on their hardware and that's worth the extra price for me. They are knowledgeable and don't mind talking about all the new cool toys. Plus some things are cheaper- nice Vapeonly CE5s- 5.00. Wallworts and chargers- 5.00. Best price I've seen, I have probably more than a dozen clearomizers because for the money it's cheaper to buy the whole clearo than to replace the coil for 3.00. I don't want to get into any really fancy toppers because I'm afraid I'll suddenly decide my clearos are no good. Although when my Hammer arrives, I'll want something better for it if I keep it.
I'm really dithering on taking the plunge for an MVP, because at that price, it's a great investment. But then I'm afraid my 15,000 Egos won't be used...and I've spent a small fortune on them. (I only have 8, and 7 good used ones are on the way...) you don't miss what you haven't tried, and all I've tried are Spinners/egos/ego twists.
