One of my kids went to a friends house today and his friends dad just brought him home. I wasn't expecting him to come in or anything and had just filled my husband and I's ecigs up with fluid. I had out all of our batteries, tanks, 2 syringes, and a baggie that from the door you couldn't see what was in it. Now, a month ago I had no idea what any of this stuff looked like. When I thought ecig, I thought cig-alike. So to someone who probably didn't know what all this stuff was, he probably thinks we are a bunch of druggies over here! It couldn't have looked good! I work at our school district and he is a bus driver for the school, so wonder what is going through his mind. Now just waiting for CPS to come investigate us for using drugs. Its funny, but at the same time not.

I hear ya oddballzwife. I have my gear in the computer room and this is where I work on stuff. I DIY so I have a rack of 20 to 500 ml bottles on a shelf. I also typically have batts, a few tools, wire, a syringe for filling tanks, etc, on a shelf in full view.

When anyone who doesn't know I vape comes in here I always say "Don't mind the e-cigarette gear. I have some really nice Strawberry Daiquiri and a clean drip tip if you'd like to try it". That gets it out in the open and everyone has always been cool with it. May even have got one Rogers Internet service technician interested ;)

I should have said something like that! My husband was talking his ear off though, so couldn't really find a way to fit it in.

Yeah the looks are priceless. I keep a 16g blunt needle with a baggy of cotton and some kanthal wire on me just in case. One day while at my cousins house there was a guy there known for using drugs. I went to swap out the cotton on the nimbus as soon as I pulled out the lil baggy of cotton, I swear he about broke his neck he looked so fast.

My kids are not little so I have a stand right on my end table by my end of couch. It holds about 2 mods and have places for about 5 tanks. I guess my kids friends haven't said anything to their parents cause I haven't got any calls LOL. Now if they were to go in my bathroon/laboratory it would probably be a different story. I DIY and keep all my juices and flavorings in the med cabinent but in a little box is all my syringes and extra needles. LOL

I've had several situations with delivery/repair staff when they saw my gear. However, I don't DIY and buy my juices ready-to-use in bottles with labels, so I usually get questions like "Is it good? Does it help quit smoking? Can the battery explode while you smoke it?"

A bit off topic, but a while ago, I had an inkjet printer and I found a lady who was selling ink, and if one would buy a certain quantity, she would throw in syringes, gloves, etc. Back then, I was still a student earning extra $$ by dolling up and printing other students' papers - I even had one of those thingies for binding paper with spiral. So, the entire gear was packed in transparent plastic bag, and I was waiting for a bus home in front of the police station, just when they changed shifts. Yes, one cop did approach and asked for my ID and what's in my bag. Lucky me, the lady also threw in printed instruction for refilling cartridges :D

When I set my nephew up with loaners I had a syringe with a blunt in the kit. I didn't consider that he had tried illegals in that manner. He did not want anything to do with it. I had to explain it would help greatly with refilling once he starts buying his own liquid (what I gave him was in needle tipped squirt bottles).

I just bought some needle tipped caps for my bottles, so now hopefully next time someone comes over it will not be blunt tip syringes. I'm sure to the untrained eye it would look better :)

I was in the whole foods store last week and had to ask for assistance with a product. I pulled out my glasses case for the fine print, opened it, and out dropped a syringe onto the floor right in front of the clerk. I had forgotten I stuffed it in there. I simply picked it up and stuffed it back into the case thinking…Good grief, I hope she thinks I'm diabetic. Then without thinking I bought a candy bar and left the store. Sigh.
