Back when I was using protanks I hated a lot of things about it... leaking, burnt/dry hits, buying coils, cost of juice etc. Now I use my dripper almost exclusively (Mako War) and an atlantis occasionally for the convenience factor so these annoyances are pretty miniscule. And I DIY a lot of my juice now which is almost free and only takes a few minutes to whip up a batch. Nowadays, I'd say the only things that really get me are ignorant people and vaping being lumped in with smoking, policy/regulation wise.
I was at a friends house the other week (more like a friend of a friend, he's a cool guy but I don't hang out with him much). Anyway I pulled out my PV and took a puff, and he said he didn't like people vaping in his house. Totally fine, his house his rules, but then he went on to say he can't stand the smell of it, that they smell worse to him than cigs and that they're actually worse for you than cigs. First off, I was vaping menthol so I doubt he even smelled anything. No idea where that came from, maybe he smelled some weird flavor in the past he didn't like and assumed they all smelled the same. Second, I don't need to explain to you guys why the other thing he said was stupid/misinformed/whatever, he probably read some bogus article about formaldehyde. So I did the polite thing and let it slide. IDK, maybe I should have tried to educate him but I didn't want to get into an argument over it.
As for the policy thing, the community college I attend recently updated their smoking policy to a campus wide ban that includes vaping (used to be you could smoke in the parking lots). So now I have to go all the way down to the main street with all the traffic noise and exhaust fumes and a good 10 minute walk back to class. All for the sake of "student safety". I don't have any problem with people smoking in the parking lots, in fact when I was smoking it helped a lot to be able to smoke a cig inbetween classes or in the 10 minute break during longer classes. IMO this policy only serves to make life harder for students who smoke. But to say that you can't vape anywhere on campus either, that's just ridiculous. I doubt the policy makers know anything about tobacco addiction, because they say that if you must smoke you should take their smoking cessation course instead. What a joke!
Sorry for the rant, this smoking ban has been really bothering me since it began this semester, especially since I finally quit analogs 2 weeks before the semester started.
