I still haven't gotten my provari yet since it's still processing I look everyday several times a day lol but I did receive the tank I splurged on just now and tried it on my ego batt and wow I'm impressed already I can't wait to try it on the provari I got the Arry V4 this thing is solid feels kinda funny having it on the ego batt because it's top heavy lol but I'm loving it I had been using a cheap tank I picked up locally and well it was what it was cheap lol. kept leaking on me etc. I haven't used a lot of tanks just the two but have a feeling I will enjoy this one for a long time.

Where did you get the Arry V4 from?

It all depends on what you want it to look like. I use the cheap dctanks on my Provari. I have the one of the cheapest tanks on one of the most expensive mods. Why? Cause it works. while the phiniac tanks and the Big Daddy tanks are beautiful and all, I'm not interested in spending extra money for looks. All tanks work pretty well. I bought the provari because of how it performs. I don't think I overpaid at all because it gives me the best vape I can get. I didn't buy the provari for looks or status. Nobody but me really sees my devices anyway. so if looks are important to you (and it's OK if they are) then go for the expensive tanks. There's nothing wrong with wanting to have a really nice looking setup, if you can afford it, but you don't have to spend the extra money if you don't want to, the expensive tanks don't perform any better than the cheaper tanks. I wouldn't buy a chibi if I were you.. too hard to fill where it won't leave excess air inside the tank and cause the carto to flood.

Like someone else said, get a cheap tank to play with and if it works for you and you want something that individualizes your personality... go from there.

Boge 3ohm cartos now come in the xxl size that will fit the dctanks and the longer tanks! So now we don't have to use dccartos and resurrectors anymore

so you buy the tank from myvaporstore.com and you buy the cartos from .crystalclearvaping.com (what if they are out of stock?).

I was just using the tank from myvaporstore as an example of an inexpensive tank. I started with the chibi and loved it till it got frustrating filling it, then I got a tank from momandpopvaporshop (sub tank) and loved the fill hole.. I even went so far as to buy a length of polycarb tubing, grommets, drill and tap and screws to make my own. Then, I got in on a co-op for a bunch of polypropylene dctanks and haven't gone back to the grommets style tanks. I did mod a couple of the dctanks with screw holes but found that they work just as well and are as easy to fill without them. You can buy the dctanks at crystalclearvaping as well as the cartos. From what I was told by the co-op organizer, the tanks I have are exactly like the ones Liberty-Flights sell. My tanks are polyproplyene and won't crack with some juices like the polycarb tanks will, I've never actually had a tank crack but I've read where lots of others have.

CCV doesn't charge extra for shipping and you get to choose a free drip tip :)

Yep, they are out of stock right now but he should have some more in soon. Since shipping is free, you could go ahead and order the tank if that's what you want and where you want to order it from. Actually I don't know who else is selling the xxl boge 3ohm cartos except Healthcabin... and while they are cheaper, the shipping is like $7 and will take a week or two at best.

I have REALLY enjoyed these xxl boge 3ohm cartos! They are wicking awesome in my dctanks (or at least the 2 I've used so far have) they are well worth waiting for. I did have one dude in the box so far, it metered something like 1.1 on the provari.. you get one like that everyonce in a while.

I just posted a question to Andrew on his suppliers thread asking when he is expecting them to be back in stock. I'll post when I get a reply or see them back in stock.

3 minutes later... I found this site that sells the 45mm boge 3ohm cartos, they say their's is 2.9 .. I don't know what their shipping cost is. I see that they also sell the J-tank, which has pretty good reviews (if you want to spend $40 for it)

But aren't there advantages to having a tank made of glass or stainless over polycarbonate or other materials? Or is this factor overhyped? Either case, it seems the high end tanks are a bit pricey.

Awhile back, many eLiquids with acids, like fruit eLiquids, were cracking the heck outta polycarb carto barrels. I vape only Cinnamon, if I use any flavor at all. I lost many carto containers to the Cinnamon eLiquid I DIY. Only way I'd use a Solid Stainless tank is if it had a sight window. Fact, I've got one of the first Tornado SS reg size barrels, I'd give to anybody in Colorado that wants to pick it up from me. I vape alot. Means I need a tank with greater volume of liquid. Also, hated loosing my tank load when withdrawing the ProVari w/Tank from my Bianchi flashlight holster. Need a batt that lasts 13 hours and a tank with nuff eLiquid for a shift. My solution has been to only use VISION Stone tanks since they've been available. I don't really expect anybody else to do or use what I do. I'm 0Nic0FA, Zero Nicotine Zero Flavor Added. Rarely add any Cinnamon to my Blends anymore. JMHO

Cheers,
otrpu

There are other factors than price when considering a tank. While the cheap dctanks work for me, I'm not out doing construction or yard work with mine. I don't use the syringe tanks, even though I can make them for free because they slide around too much and I've already dumped juice in my purse because of this. The sub tank from momandpopvaporshop is a tough little tank, they hold a death grip on the carto and won't come off unless you want them to. They are also a breeze to fill if you don't mind using a syringe and needle. But they are difficult to assemble and change cartos for some. If you use juices known for cracking polycarb tanks, you would want to get a polypropylene or pyrex tank. The phiniac tanks are beautiful and pricey but from what I've read, they also don't crack or slide around too much on the carto. If I needed the extra durability, I might pay the extra price of the phiniac or the Big daddy tanks.

These tanks look good, are priced right, they are polypropylene tubes, so they won't crack and probably won't slide around too much. I've emailed CCV to ask about when the xl mega 3ohm boge cartos will be back in stock and what his dctanks are made of...polycarbonate or polypropylene. I'll post when I get an answer.

Surge Tank. Dang I love both of mine. 310vapers.com will have some back in stock at the end of the week.

are they crazy selling that for 99 bucks,
i thought 25 for my plastic j-tank was on the pricey side
but 99 bucks for aluminum, cool concept, but you can almost buy a top quality bottom fed mod for that price

I have been using smoketech tanks on my provaris for months and they work great and they are cheap so you can have 1 for each flavor. I get mine from hoosierecig.com

you said on another thread that you liked having a fill hole but didn't like the grommets on the sub tanks.. I modded my dctanks to have a fill hole. you can order the stuff to do it for less than $10 shipped.
Here is the drill and tap I ordered and here is the screws that fit the hole. They are the same as the screws on the sub tanks. It's easy to do if you have a drill, you don't need a t-handle for the tap, you can use the tap with your fingers.

Wow! I was figuring they might cost $25 and I would be willing to pay that.. for $100, I could spend a little more and have a Reo! I don't think I'll be getting one :(

If your wanting to go with a good cheaper tank then though I've yet to actually try it the one I was going to get before I bought the Arry V4 was the vision stone tank from gotvapes, its actually threaded which I like the idea of having threads there to seal as opposed to just sliding together seems like a more solid design to me they are sold out a lot of the time but you should give it a look.
