I have been on this forum for nearly five years.
I have seen every topic discussed, and all arguments presented.

And I have come to a conclusion.

Too many of you don't understand the issues that confront us.
Too many of you are ignorant to who opposes us.
Too many of you don't care yet.

But you will care.

You'll care when they come to your state, your city, or your county.

I am coming to the conclusion that we will all get what we deserve.
Because we ALWAYS get what we deserve.

Make sure you are ready to deserve something better.
And be ready to fight for it.

It you don't fight, you will not only be screwing me, you will be screwing yourself.

It's largely because too many people in our respective cultures (not just any specific country) lack courage of conviction and moral fiber.

The punitive consequences of action are immediate, the results of action (both good and bad) are over the horizon. The results of inaction are always distant, until it is too late.

How far will we allow the powers that be to reach into our wallets, to fund our oppression? That is really the bottom line.

Yes, I am a little concerned with what might be the final outcome to the e-cig industry ... But I am just as worried about what the government is going to do with people (like myself) that own one of these:

I for one have no idea how to help. I don't have enough extra money to donate to the cause. Other than go protest when a law in my area comes up I really don't know what to do to help. CASAA basically just ask you to donate and alert them to laws in your area. I can't donate so all I can do is fight my local laws.

I've always seen it as a big joke to be honest. I've never wanted to be sitting next to someone blowing clouds while I'm in my favorite restaurant trying to enjoy a meal. I think back to my high school days when, yes it was technically illegal for me to smoke, but as long as I didn't blow smoke in anyone's face I always seemed to get away with it. There may be a similar concept here. I could be wrong, but how in the heck is anyone going to control what I do in my car, outside, in the bathroom, or anywhere people aren't affected by what I do? And why do people want to vape in public? I think its obnoxious. If you cant light a cig up, why would it be ok to hit your ecig?

I get your concern, and I have mine as well. I just think there are two sides to this, and may be it wouldn't be such a bad thing if we put some regulation on where people vape...

Agree with Bad on CASAA. They helped out in my home state. One alone is weak. With numbers we may have some strength.

one of our setbacks in this fight is ... there are not enough people vaping yet.

It really is sad, the bulk of smokers will be trapped by new laws before they ever try vaping.

I wish we had more time with vaping as it is before regs happen.

There are certain places where in my state it is not legal to vape in your own vehicle. I know. I used to work for the state.

What about when the FDA tried to ban all e-cigs and confiscated inbound imports in 2009?
What about the bill in California that wants to ban online sales?
What about the bill in New York that wants to ban all e-liquid sales?
What about the bill in New Jersey to tax e-cigs comparative to regular cigs?

There is a lot more going on besides 'where you can vape'. If we don't stay vigilant and fight these things there may come a day when we can't vape at all.

But .... I can promise you for sure that the government will be going after the very throat of liquid nicotine and any e-juice that contains it. And when it's all said and done, YOU will be paying a real BIG PREMIUM for anything that contains liquid nicotine.

The problem as I see it is that too many people just shrug their shoulders on the things that they think don't affect them, or that they think are 'reasonable'. They pass a public usage ban, majority public now thinks vaping is dangerous, minority vaping public shrugs it off saying 'oh well, I don't vape in restaurants anyway and neither should anyone else, or I can stealth vape'.

And as each of these laws get passed and the vast majority of the public is convinced it must be dangerous, that makes it easier for them to take the next step, and the next step, right up to outrageous taxes or outright bans.
