Hi everyone.

I class myself as a collector(although this of course can be debated), and feel my regulated collection is very nearly complete, just a few more devices on my list and it will be done.

Seeing as this has happened over the past few months, I have purchased several different mechanical mods to keep collecting something, that I enjoy using. 26650, 18650 and Parallel boxes so far. I am looking for a build for a tube mech though, which can obviously be used on my other boxes if I wished.

My real question, is do you have a go too build for yourself, that you feel outshines everything else you have tried?

I have found that for me, a simple 28G single parallel coil at around 0.45-0.5 gives me good flavour, but I am yet to find the build that makes me go "Wow".

I own many RDA's, and find my Nixon V2 and derringers to be good for flavour, although recommendations of other RDA's are fine as I may have one to try a certain build in. Also RTA's are not out of the question, I do not mind using an RTA if there will be a noticeable improvement in flavour or performance.

I use either Muji or Cotton puff organic cotton for wicking, I do not notice a taste from this so it seems to make sense to continue to use this.

I really want to find this "wow" build, and for me flavour is a first, I really enjoy tasting what I am vaping well.

So, I would welcome suggestions of builds I can try, I have 30 down to 22G in kanthal, only 26G in SS if this is a good building material, and am looking to get some Nichrome, as I have been told that this seems to be best for mechanical mods, although I only know what I am told.

I do not enjoy super sub ohm, mainly due to safety concerns, and like to be well within my batteries CDR (I use LG HE4's or samsung 25R's in my mechs, so 20A).

Thank you all, Conan.

~2 ohm spaced single coil in an A7. There is no RDA with a more intense flavor.

But for some enough is never enough.

I'm strong proponent of the K.I.S.S. Principle. (Keep it simple, stupid)

A simple compressed dual coil 0.6 ohm overall resistance from 28 gauge kanthal, 3 mm inner diameter. I prefer using Rayon (cellucotton).

I have a Velocity clone from Tobecco and an authentic Patriot drip atomizer. AltSmoke silver bullet mech.

    Pretty much the same here...
Simple compressed single coil for me, 2.5mm ID, 26g 7 wrap somewhere in between 0.6 - 0.7 ohm, Rayon wick.

I mainly use RTAs, although I have a decent collection of older RDAs. I guess that I subscribe to the K.I.S.S. principle as I use a single 2mm coil of 28awg Kanthal for all of my RTAs with a resistance at around 1.25ohms and single or spaced depending on the atomizer. I've tried twisted coil and I have some UD Clapton coil from the Classifieds that I've never used, but a single coil of round Kanthal is all that I need for a satisfying vape. I can use all of my ~1.25ohm atomizers on any mechanical or regulated device. I prefer 18350 batteries and my preferred resistance is safe to use on any size or make of battery that is used for vaping.

I use KGD in all of my RTAs. I've tried all kinds of wick (I probably have a hundred dollars worth of silica and Ekowool I will never use again), but I prefer the taste and primarily the ease of working with rectangular cotton pads to create wicks. I dry burn and re-wick often to maximize flavor - perhaps every two days for a heavily used atomizer.

I vape for flavor and the two atomizers that I primarily use are the Sophia and the Spheroid. I think they are the most pocket-friendly and flavorful atomizers that I've used.

I've given up searching for that WOW build or atomizer. I like to try new and innovative RBAs and I have a good sense of what I like, but at the end of the day I feel like I'm just vaporizing eliquid and I doubt there's something out there that will enhance the flavor or experience by orders of magnitude. I've gotten to the point where regular maintenance is quick, particularly if I have pre-made a bunch of coils that I can use on all of my atomizers or have leftover unused rolled wicks that will fit all of my coils. I'm not looking to invest more time perfecting complicated builds or more money trying to find the next best thing, but I think that's because I've already done that and I've achieved a high level of satisfaction with my current gear and preferred style of vaping.
