Really we need to tone down the melodrama. Needing to access the deep web is poppycock.
When I first became interested in 'exotic horticulture' I used Google to seek info. Info for the rank beginner to the most sophisticated participant in the activity is ALL right out in the open and instantly available.
vaping will be no different.

C'mon just admit it, it sounded cool :)

I was just trying to make a point, no matter how negative things turn out for vaping. It won't die. Too many people are aware of this technology and recognizing the benefits, especially when comparing it with cigarettes.

If the FDA restricts e-cig advertisement it will have a negative effect on ECF financially.

But it doesnt cover ecf branded advertising.
If the law actually becomes a serious financial issue for ECF, I hope Oliver lets me know.
There are simple easy (legal) ways to fund this site, and generate much more money than banner ads and vendor subs.

Exactly! Why do you think the government is taking guns away slowly? I can see 20 years from now a huge rebellion in DC, it's going to happen.

I believe without much doubt ECF will continue to be a resource for those willing to "look further" into the technology by researching e-cigs online. As it was when I stumbled upon the site 4 years back. I had heard of ecigs for the first time that day and after looking up blu and other cigalikes that seemed extremely expensive, with many companies not even interested in shipping to my country to begin with. I found numerous references to this forum through my ecig search queries on goo gle. Eventually I figured why not just search ECF instead of the entire web, the info I received was better, the community live and vibrant and the posters showed a real interest in answering and helping newbs. I joined that same night to have my questions answered. Simply was floored with the sheer number of posts and members. So glad I joined, all the help and support received was/is priceless.

This ^^^^^^^^^will always be needed by smokers looking to become informed and switch if they are willing to do the reading and asking for help to achieve their goal.

There were not many, if any, vape shops at that time. So if and when the landscape changes back to "the way it was" the ones that are really interested will do their homework and show up here or another forum eventually.
ECF gets my vote for 1st choice. (but I'm admittedly very biased)

Getting hooked up with gear and liquids?
Well that may be a whole other story. Cheers.

I see some chance vaping will become more popular and 10x cooler if it becomes illegal. But how that will affect things is hard to predict. I know with things "prohibited" there were times and places when you didn't have to worry much about it, and other times and places one would want to be extremely cautious.

The FDA had already said they aren't concerned about the DIY'er because the numbers are so few. So if you're mixing up your own juice for your personal use, you're not going to get a midnight visit from the feds. So if you have 4 million vapers in the US (a statistic I read once), probably less than 0.5 percent (less than 20,000) of those vapers actually mix their own juice. They're just not going to expend the time or energy to track down someone who may be making their own juice at home (how successful has the federal government been in shutting down bootleggers?).

Nooooooooo......... the last report that I read is that we are 9 million strong. :D

that's what social media is for
Unfortunately, if the recent past wrt the tea party or how vaper organisations work with each other and agree with their respective goals? Now put a gun in each hand of those in the movement?
The images on social media won't be pretty, any blood we see will be from the demonstrators, because they'll never all agree on their goal. imo. Cheers.
