Long story short, I started at the highest level like most when I started vaping about 4 years ago. I worked my way down to 6mg and stayed there for about 2 years. I recently stopped subohm builds and went back to mtl 1ohm to 1.2ohm builds. I increased my nicotine to 8mg and feel it's not enough. Should I just go to 12mg or what?

I make my own juice so not an issue experimenting for me. Looking for advice from people who vape around 1ohm.

For me it's whatever keeps me from skinning someone when I'm having a nice fit.

It's up to you & your body/needs. If you're sure 8 isn't cutting it I'd try 10, then up from there. I guess also depends if you chain vape, MTL or whatnot.

If you want a good throat hit yeah i'd say up the nicotine when i did mtl at first i went with 15mg which provided me with barely enough flavor but one hell of a good throat hit. Unfortunately i do sub 0hm now so 6mg is more than enough for me :p

I wonder if @stols001 has anything to say about this one though since she's probably THE most experienced mtl vaper i've seen around here.

I don't think I am the most experienced MTL on here... But I find vaping around 1.0-- 1.8, my nic level can stay at 18 m.g. and I really only chain vape in the mornings. Heck, even on the 0.7 Nautilus coil, I can get by changing my watts and staying at 18. I'd say 12 would be a good starting point, honestly, if you are craving more nic, and if that's still not enough, just keep going up in 2 m.g. increments (I mainly say that for ease of mixing, but really, you could try 12, 13, 14, etc., and see how it goes. I might try 12 routinely, and maybe if you are using more than one tank, maybe a 14 or 16 m.g. tank for those stressful times of day or times when you can't vape frequently, etc.

I started with Vuse, which was 48 mg nic. Granted in a carto but it sure did the trick. Moved on to "real" vape stuff with an actual mtl tank and was at 24 mg. Stayed there for ~6 months, then lowered to 12 mg. Now with my airy cloudy DL tanks I'm at 6 mg. Was at 3 mg and it wasn't enough so I bumped it back up. I still use 18 mg for my mtl "stealth" setups. And those concentrations are after what will be 2 years come Thanksgiving.

Okay, so if you're at 8-- you want to basically increase it by 1/2, right, so you'd add 16 nic flavored juice in a 1:1 ratio, if I'm thinking of this correctly-- Whatever juices you have ready, mix the same juice profile at 16 m.g. nicotine and then combine them together-- that's if you want to be ultra precise about it. If you're looking to just add a bit of nic to bump it up, I have not enough faith in my math to make any suggestion work.

Sure, go up to 12 mg (even higher if needed, my mtl 1.8 ohm Nauti coils take 18 mg nic). If 12 is too much just dilute it back down with same juice at different lower inc concentration.
I'm exactly the same. The 1.8s on the Nautilus for me needs a 18mg. But on my MTL / RTA's I run a 1ohm coil and use 12mg nic.

If you find the 12mg too much just change your build to 1.4-1.6 ohm coil and that should tone it down. That way the juice can still be used. Your just out of a coil that might cost
:2c:s.

I'm back and forth with mine. I use 12 mg with my build of 1.2/1.4 but I'm also trying to lower my nic. So I made one tank 10mg and vape on it and when I feel I don't get enough I use the 12mg. Mind you I just started.
Good luck!
