I just made the switch a little over a week ago. When I first bought my starter kit they gave me a 10ml bottle of a tobacco blend that they said would taste like the camel lights I was smoking at the time and it had a 24mg strength. I tried it that night but every time I tried to cape it burned my throat and I would cough every single time. The next day I took it back and told them it was way too harsh and they replaced it with a new bottle of the same flavor but in 11mg strength (not sure why they don't do 12) free of charge, and its been SO much better that I have been completely switched off of analogs for a several days now. So try out different strengths and favors and you'll eventually find one that you like.

I smoked at least a pack a day of ultra lights for many years. The vape shop I went to let me try out 16 mg juice, but it made me cough a lot. So I tried a juice with 12 mg, and it was perfect. I got 3 flavors with 12 mg strength and that's what I'm using now. Very happy with it, and have had no desire to light up a real cigarette. Probably everyone is somewhat different, but that's my experience so far.

mini protank 2.

The replaceable atomizer they use is common among several bottom coil clearomizers.
pyrex glass tank.
dismantleable for cleaning

Was looking at this - ProTank Clearomiser - CLEARANCE

Cheaper than the mini as it's on clearance and holds more juice. Will this work as well as the mini?

The protanks have a reputation for leaking; the mini seems to solve the problem; the mini also uses the larger eGo threading on the typical eGo type battery, not the small 510 threading so there is more consistent airflow.

they use the same heads so if you can, get both and compare them yourself.

Oh; you would really want to get to mini protank TWO ; or if you get a protank, you want the protank TWO.

The original protank can't be disassembleed into top/bottom/glass/moutpiece

I was in pretty much the same boat... 10-15 filtered roll ups per day.

18mg is what I used with my old cig-a-like and I am now using 18mg juice with an iTaste V3 and iClear 16 clearo. I only started using it today and IMO 18mg seems pretty strong. After 1 or 2 tokes I can feel myself mellowing out. Kind of reminds me of having a cigarette after not having one all day.

Maybe it's slightly placebo because it's a new toy? Or maybe it's my new device working much better than my cig-a-like? Either way I don't feel like moving anywhere too fast at the moment haha. With my cig-a-like I sometimes cheated with analogs but I can't see myself wanting a smelly one anytime soon with this.

I was a two pack a day Doral ultra light smoker who started with 24mg and stayed with it for a long time. 18mg should be good for someone under a PAD. If you feel the craving for a cig, just vape like a fiend until the urge goes away. It works. If you feel like you aren't getting enough nicotine, inhale through the mouth and then slowly exhale through your nose occasionally. Your sinuses absorb more nic than your throat and mouth.

Don't feel bad if you give in and try a smoke. If you do just vape and smoke and compare the two. You will eventually decide that the vape tastes much better than the smoke. That's what convinced me that smoking a few was ridiculous when the cigs tasted so bad and the vape was so good. It's what changed my mind and allowed me to quit without looking back.

One day you will be completely comfortable vaping after a meal or with your morning cup of coffee. You won't even consider smoking again as long as you can vape.

That's what I like to hear. I was always under the assumption that E-Cig's don't give you that hit at the back of the throat but certainly not by what I've been reading. I'm just in fascination of all the liquids you can get and customization, very exiting.

Hopefully tonight will be my last with analogs, if the E-Cig's really are as effective as it appears that's very possible. Might struggle on the morning cig but I'll force myself to vape instead.

Yes that's a good idea. I have read that the mouth and sinuses absorb the nicotine much faster.

I'm sure I'll struggle for the first couple of days or so, especially in the morning like I say but I'm determined to kick the analogs. Might as well kick it now while I'm still fit and young.

As long as I get the nicotine right and I get the hit in my throat as well as keeping up with supplies I see no need to smoke analog cigarettes.

Vaping is something I've been wanting to do for a long time but always put it off and thought they weren't as effective as they really are.

Right, I'll try the Mini then. And will make sure to get the II. Must work out much cheaper as well because the heads etc are replaceable and there's not much that can go wrong with them.

Honestly I was smoking less than that and well idk sometimes I need 24 but you got good hardware so 18 would be good. Def not more than 24 I wouldn't think. Just don't be surprised if you have to vape 24 because that's what I vape and I smoked half a pack a day

HaHa, boy you picked the right thing then

hope your either rich or have some restraint... :D

good luck

Unfortunately puf I am neither :D

I'm sure I'll be quiet happy with the Ego for a while. The main thing is it keeping me off the cancer sticks.

I have been looking at the Vamo and they really look nice. As long as the vaping goes well which I'm sure it will do then a Vamo will be my next purchase I'm sure.

too lazy to dig up older thread..:)

I've been using RBA's exclusively for a couple of months. I haven't dropped my nicotine down from the 18-24 range, even with using subohm coils in the past couple of weeks. Did it sneak up on anyone after a large increase in vapor production with the need to drop nicotine? I find myself vaping more too(a lot more)..cuz I've been enjoying it more, even without deciohm coils. slippery slope, eh?:)

OK, thought I would do some leg work for ya (using a mouse)
have you ever thought of trying an MVP ?
if you are OK with the box style, there is none better (JMO)
no loose batteries / no charger - it is a 2600 mah battery (long lasting)
has all the advanced features to obtain MAX enjoyment from most any topper installed on it
and it is unique as portable power source (if you'd care)
and a darn good price (bang-for-the-buck) (a zillion people can't be wrong)

- Innokin iTaste MVP 2 VV/VW [VE535] - £49.95 : Vape Escape
- INNOKIN iTaste MVP Version 2.0 | Realvapes.co.uk
- Search results for: 'MVP'
- - - - -
- Vamo VE Stainless Steel [VE595] - £44.95 : Vape Escape
- Innokin iTaste SVD [VE525] - £49.95 : Vape Escape

- Vamo V4
- Vivi Nova Tank v3 - 3.5ml
- 2.1- 4ml Capacity Tanks - Clearomizers
- Variable Voltage/Wattage - Mods
- The ZMAX brings you the option of using variable voltage or variable wattage. The ZMAX is a telescope feature meaning different battery sizes can be used such as 18350, 18500 or 18650 (to be purchased separately). The ZMAX features the new OLED scree

I kinda like the Sigelei Zmax (if I was going toward a removeable battery mod)
mainly a bunch of vape sites that you can drool :p over while getting familiar

happy hunting - Vape≈Strong

Thanks for this Puf. :toast:

I like the practicability of the MVP I must say. Especially as it's a pass through. Aesthetically I much prefer the Vamo though, vain I know. I'll remember this post for the future if/when I want to upgrade, which I'm sure I will. Will see how it goes with the Ego for starters though.

One thing I'd like to ask however. I've stumbled upon Fasttech and it seems like an Aladdin's Cave, and extremely cheap. I could get 30ml of juice for about $4 which in pounds is only £2.40 odd. It costs over £10 here shipping included!!

Just wondering if the juices are any good? Not sure if their just too cheap to be true but at that price it's almost a no brainer to try. Can get 150ml of liquid for the price of 30 here in the UK. Tanks etc are MUCH cheaper too.

Thanks
