Well my second day with the Ego and still going great. Woke up about an hour ago with no blocked left nostril which I usually get. My breathing feels clearer too. Had a nice vape and instantly got a nice nicotine buzz.

One question I'd like to ask. How often would you recommend cleaning a CE4 clearo?

No idea; but whatever you have I hope you have a few so while you're using one, you got a spare available and another one or two soaking.

If you don't change the flavour, then you can do an entire 10ml bottle.

t.b.h. I only ever had rebuildable ones after my first 2 CE4s. The original "stardust" CE4s were hard work to bring back to life once the taste and vapour diminished.

I have 3. Two with different flavours in and a spare. I don't want to really use the spare until I have others. Will be getting my mini protank through tomorrow.

Is it okay to fill them with a different flavour when you've vaped it all?. Or will that give it a nasty flavour?

Not necessarily nasty, you could swap from lemon to lime and have a bit of lemon & lime for a while. :)
Depending on the flavour, some of the taste may never go. I tried to use one last night with a new liquid (after finishing off a bottle) and it wouldn't go away, so I put in a new atomizer head and the old one is soaking in a shot glass with Vodka in. I'll dig it out later and let it dry.

Umm I'll give it a try. I've vaped the Apollo Tobacco flavour which I'm not a fan of. Got a overpowering sort of oaky flavour. Won't be getting that again. Going to fill it back up with RY4 which I didn't like when I first tried it but I like now. Good for an occasional vape but I wouldn't want it all day, sort of sickly. Think I'll be a fruity/refreshing sort of guy. Both tobacco flavours I've tried have had sort of a overpowering aftertaste that gets a tad sickly. Maybe I'm getting too much Nicotine? I've been vaping 12mg

I suppose a tobacco flavour won't react too badly with RY4. It's a light liquid as well so shouldn't of tainted the wicks.

10 CE4s? Is it better value than buying 10 replacement heads?

Well in monetary terms no. I've got the mini coming and 5 heads so thought I'd use that with a flavour I really like and for an indoor vape. Was going to use the CE4's for trying out samples etc. Just wanted to get a big pack so I know damn well I'd have a back-up. They'd last me forever.

Maybe it would be better to get a replaceable part clearo. Like a CE5.

Still researching.

hey matty,

think you are talking about disposable CE4, and then there is rebuildables

to clean it is important to try and do it BEFORE coils get too bad
rinse out with water, soak with vodka (PGA)-then if stubborn residue or flavor
a few minutes soak in wht vinegar then vodka, then hot water rinse, allow dry

if you like the CE4's , I bet you would like the vivi nova series of clearo's

glad to hear "DAY TWO" is going well... :)

Hey Puf and thanks.

Will follow those tips. Should extend the life of the CE4's

I wouldn't exactly say I was a fan of them. I do like them because their bottom coiled but mine has leaked once. However I don't like the fact they work with wicks. I much prefer the coil system. May be talking ....e lol, only just started.

The protank's appeal to me more. As well as the Davide. That being said I thought it would be handy to have a load of CE4's lying around just in case. And I could use them for going out etc.

hmmmm, the CE4 (stardusts) is of top-wick config
unless you have a fancy newer BDC style

the bottom coil type (bcc) is protanks etc. ...

you take kanthal wire, wrap it around silica wick and 'presto' you have a coil

here is a good video, kinda explains
- A PBusardo Review All About The EVOD - Includes Recoiling - YouTube

it'll come to ya...

The CE4's are top coil.

The protanks and other bottom coil systems have small wicks in the atomizer heads.

Hi everyone,

I know it's been a while but thought I'd update you.

I'm on my tenth day and am very pleased to say that I have not had one puff on a cigarette. Absolutely nada, and don't crave one at all. What's even better is my Dad got his kit three days ago and also hasn't smoked either!!! A 40 year, 40 a day smoker and he is loving vaping. He's chucked out all the ashtrays and any remaining tobacco. I'm so happy. His cough has virtually dissapered and his skin looks better.

I have so much to give to vaping. It will probably give me years more with my Father and as I'm young will extend my life tremendously. I went to football training this afternoon and the difference in my stamina is just amazing. I can run like I could when I was 15. And that's after 10 days, just imagine it in a few months.

I went to the vape shop in Cambridge and got some liquid. I'm pleased to say I think I've found the perfect flavour for me - blueberry. Such a delicious flavour that I can vape all day.

I also got my Mini PT 2 and am getting on well with it. However I will say that the draw is a bit airy for my liking. The taste is much better as well as the vapour but I must say I preferred the tighter draw of the standard CE4. This is probably due to the PT being Bottom coil and the CE4 being top coil. Like I said though, the vapour and flavour is greatly improved.

I have been looking on the net and am still salivating over the thought of the Vamo. Although I'm getting a full day + out of my Ego the battery life on the Vamo really appeals to me, as well as the VV/VW and most influential to me, the aesthetics :) I just love the look of the Vamo.

I have found a GREAT price here - VAMO V5 KIT £39.99 Free Delivery + iClear30 Dual Core Atomizer + Case - epuffnstuff

Very good price!!

However, the more I look into the MVP V2 the more it's appealing to me. It's said to have a massive battery life (even longer than a 18650) as well as the VV/VW and a pass through and device charging feature. I have found it for 35.99 on myepack and that's with a Iclear 30 clearo. Very tempting to say the least. However, the only down side is the look of it. I'm not fond of the box look at all, the Vamo appeals to me much more. Vain I know however aesthetics really influence me on buying choices.

I'm really stuck between the two, so if anyone can influence a decision I would be most grateful.

Anyway, thought I'd just give an update on how great it's going. My Dad and I are loving vaping so much, going to get some of my mates to switch too.

:toast:

i started at 12mg (person from the site i ordered from recommended it) at first wasn't really getting it and now i get a nice throat hit! Only been on e cigs for about a week and a half now. :)

Congratulations Skylare. Feels great doesn't it ;)

Yes, I started off on 18mg for about the first two days but found I woke up with a sore throat as I was getting too much Nicotine. Dropped it to 12mg and although was weak to start off with it's perfect now.
