I think instinctively after years of smoking if you want to see more 'smoke' you instinctive suck harder; but it doesn't work that way;
more fogginess comes from the right wick moisture and coil temperature;
I just read an e-cig new user thread on here that pretty much confirmed it's me. I think I keep slipping into the habitual draw strength of an analog. Which causes flooding. The learning curve seems to be the hardest part of switching from real cig to nic juice.

I had some issues with flooding, and then my mind went back to my days designing and building machines...a smaller diameter drip tip tube means less pressure when vaping...especially with the smallest hole setting on the ring. The bigger diameter tube set on the smallest diameter hole means you're drawing too much into the coil. Most people say to open the ring...but that loosens the draw.
So far, it's allowed me to keep my draw closer to what it was when I was hooked on analogs.

Vaping all day today on the Nautilus and only had some slight flooding. Been doing the test puff and super light draw and it's working great. The learning curve is just really steep with 25 years smoking analogs.

Yes; it's like riding a bike; it's easy but you still have to get the hang of it first;
There's the trick...or hold the tip looser in your lips so some air can come in around it...vary your lip grip to get the proper amount of extra air in the mix so it works the way you want it to. That's what I do with my Aspire BDC Novs-S glassomizers and they work great. I'm sure it will be the answer for your nautilus as well.Vaping all day today on the Nautilus and only had some slight flooding. Been doing the test puff and super light draw and it's working great. Some folks will always tell you to throw money at a problem to cure it when many if not most issues can be resolved by a little of what engineers call test and evaluation...but us mere mortals call trial and error![]()
If you have time stop by the REO Mods Forum and see if you think it is something you would be interested in. When I started vaping I spent several month frustrated most of the time. Some days were good and some it was always an issue. I finally found a mod that would give me a hassle free satisfying vape every day all day long. No Leaks, no flooding, coil/wick are a month old (ceramic wick).
If you are not into build coils and battery management on an unregulated device then it may not be your cup of tea. There are extremely friendly and helpful people that will answer your questions.
Good luck
Your test puff idea hit it on the head for me. I used to draw hard for the throat and lung and finish soft on the analogs. I think doing this on the vape is pulling too much liquid to the coil before the coil warms up. Also it seems I am guilty of trying to clear the chimney after releasing the fire button. So ending each puff with extra unvaped juice and starting with a hard pull on a cold coil were adding up to a mess.

where do you get this ceramic wick?
I asked the Brick and mortar clerk about the ceramic coil and was told they take a long time to warm up so if your using an ego style battery you have to hold the fire button for 4 seconds or so then release it and then fire and puff. The eGo style stick batteries usually have a 7-10 second max fire time to protect against shorts. Also in cold weather they are harder to get warm enough to vape.

Wick just holds the juice. I use a 1.1ohm coil around the 2mm ceramic wick. If I need it hotter then I build a lower ohm coil.
No such lag time for me. But it does give the ability to go forever without changing. Every few days I rinse and dry burn cleaning the coil and wick back to almost new.
You got any pics of your build with it?
