I started with an evod starter kit.... A week later I ordered an itaste MVP 2. It's a great vv/vw mod and tons of battery life. Depending on how much you vape.... You can easily get 2days out of a charge and I've even went 4 days before.... Plus it has a built in resistance checker, it's a pass thru, and you can charge your iPhone, iPod, samsung and lots of other devices right off your mod! It's a great battery! If you look you can find them online from 39.99 and up. I think 101vapes is still out.... I bought mine at itcvapes and it shipped same day and they have amazing cust Svc and you can request a free sample of their juice too. They have amazing juice.... Bananaberry dream is my ADV! Good luck, and welcome to the vaping community!

What does your cousin use? Do you want it to look like a standard cig or does that matter? How much vaping do you think you will do in a day? Does charging batteries all the time seem something you want to do or not?

I started vaping last Dec with a cig-a-like and still use it but vape a lot and even though I got 4 batteries to start, it seems I am always running in to put another on the charger and take one off. I ended up getting 2 more and a passthru to stick on the computer. This sounds like a lot of batteries but there are 2 of us using these batteries now and son just upgraded from these to a Halo Triton and he loves it. I am getting ready to do that too. Leaning towards their variable voltage one but still deciding, just know that I am ready for larger tanks and longer battery life. Knowing what I learned in the past couple months, I could have saved and just gone with the Triton in the first place but really depends on what you think is going to be right for you.

How long does a bottle of juice last. I am used to smoking a pack of cigarettes a day.

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
That depends on how much you vape. I am a pretty constant vaper and go through probably 3-4 ml a day. Hubby vapes like he smoked and goes through perhaps 1 ml a day.

Depends on how much you vape and what strength nicotine you use. I was a pack a day and 24mg was too high for me.... 18mg was high but close a 15ml bottle lasted almost 2 weeks for me at first. Now I'm at 12mgs and 7weeks in and 15mls last about a week for me. I just stepped down from 18 to 12 tho. Remember that vaping usually gives a delayed effect.... So it builds up gradually.... It's easy to over nic yourself at first trying to get your nic fix til you get use to vaping and find your level.

I bought an eGo vv2 and a Kanger EVOD tank. It still serves me well. I use it at work every day. I have others for at home but i still love my eGo. As far as how long a bottle will last is up to you. If you get the right nic content and settle down from the "chain vaping" you will go through (like all of us have) it should last about 10 days (15ml bottle). I started on 24 mg/ml nic content and it was perfect for me (2+ PPD for over 35 yrs for reference) i have tried some 18 juice and it just doesn't get it for me. Welcome to the journey......hang on!

I was looking at the halo tritons and kind of liked them. What is the point of having numerous tanks. Isn't the tank where the juice goes

Changing flavors is a task. If you have multiple tanks then changing flavor is a easy as unscrewing one tank and screwing on another. I have 5 I carry with me every day!

Let me ask y'all this. Is it cheaper to vape than buying cigarettes. I know it is better for you

I am not sure when you start out if it is cheaper or not but have a feeling that in the long run it will be. In the beginning, you have to buy all the gear but after that your only expense will be the juices and I am sure you will be buying several. First to find what you like and then as your taste buds heal, your tastes may change or after a while you just tire of a certain flavor.

Multiple tanks allow you to have several juices to switch back and forth between. It also lets you have a spare tank when you clean one out.

There is a thing many go through called vapers tongue, where you get a funky mineral or acid taste in your mouth or can't taste the juice at all. Don't understand it fully but seems most go through it at some point and sometimes switching say from a coffee vape to a mint or fruit may help or at least you can taste the other.

The Halo Triton just won PC Mag's Editor Choice Award this past week. My son has had his Triton about a month and loves it and I have fallen in love with it too but he doesn't share well so will be getting my own soon.

Hi Ray, and welcome to ECF!

Liquid use varies quite a bit. No real "how much is equal to..." So figure that on the high side, as you don't want to run out! 3 ml per day isn't uncommon. But you'll want to be trying different flavors, so the amount on hand will partly depend on how many flavors!

The MVP2 is certainly a good device, but the box shape isn't everyone's favorite. Its little brother, the Itazte VV3, is another good choice, with all the same features but only 800 mAh, versus the MVPs 2600. So run time between charges is a lot less.

Is vaping cheaper? Obviously, in the long run, yes. Cancer treatment is very spendy, in all kinds of way!

But initially, it may not be. Initial hardware costs will run it higher, but as long as you don't let us get you on the "OOOOH! Bright and Shiny gotta have it" bandwagon, those costs will settle down.

My neck of the country, my initial costs for a starter kit, with a couple bottles, was about the same as a carton of cigs. And lasted a lot longer!

But that said, you do want at least two of everything. Backups are important, as you can rarely predict when hardware is going to fail.

Yes, the tank is where the juice goes, and having multiple ones allows you to have several flavors ready. Sometimes its nice to switch off, and if you only have one topper it's a hassle. (Empty the topper, clean, dry, you get the picture!)

If you don't like the box style of the MVP, they have a smaller one itaste vv v3 that works really well. It's compact, has variable voltage and variable wattage, ohms checker and pass thru just like the MVP but its only a 800mah battery instead of 2600mah so the battery won't last days like the MVP does. My brother gets about 6-8hours of vaping from his Vv.... But depending on use that could be more or less. Also I would invest in glass/Pyrex tanks.... A lot of ejuices are known to be tank crackers on plastic tanks.... Flavor is better from glass in my opinion too

Yep! Exactly.... You beat me to it!! lol either is a good choice..... It's basically personal preference and what your looking for in a mod. Is battery life important? Size? vv/vw? pass thru? Check out Pbusardo on YouTube. He does really thorough reviews and gives tons of info to help with making an informed decision. Grimmgreen and indoorsmokers are other good channels.
Also if you can hold off and order online, a lot of the time you will find much better deals on prices compared to your local B&M vape store. If you already bought a blu I recommend you use it for now and order online. Use the money your saving and order some good ejuices to try.
