I heard about e-cigs from a friend of mine years ago so i did a little research and found out alot of things. My first e-cigs was a green smoke and i thought it was the greatest thing. Then i did alot more research and have gotten into HV mods and looking back i will probably never own a standard e-cig again. But like everything i guess it is all one big learning step. And since i started vaping the technology has gone through the roof.

A woman at my local corner store was vaping at her register one day and said she hadn't smoked a cigarette in a few months and loved her ecig. I came home and googled. Came across ECF and ran away...TMI. Stumbled across a few vendors and was scared to order from websites that reminded me of tattoo shops. Went for the Blu. Quickly came back to ECF and ordering from the "tattoo shop" websites (ego-t and Riva 510) and haven't looked back!

I learned about e-cigs from an advert on some website about 18 months... did some research but never made the leap, since I didn't pierce through the whole "get your free kit" b.s. barrier and it clearly wasn't passing 'the smell test'. Four months ago, and after having started wheezing in bed at night, I saw more adverts along with a youTube video of 'the paper towel test'. I figured it was time to again check on the progression of e-cigs. I found Scott on youTube (igetcha69) and then found this forum. Spent a whole weekend reading, and took the plunge. :)

My first e-cig was the eGo-T with type-A carts, on June 30. Now it is October 30 and my e-cig is still the eGo-T, with Resurrector carto's. Slow and steady progression. lolz

my first e-cig (almost 2 years ago) was an M602, a small cig type with a cart that held 8 drops of juice and had 30min batt life till recharging (no such thing as an ego back then). I learned about ecigs because I was buying my smokes online from Carolinacartons.com because they were non FSC and they emailed me a youtube vid of smoking everywhere.
Now I use a dual 18650 vv boxmod made by krimson Kustoms and an Ego Mega B 3.0 ohm atty with dripping.

Fun topic, seems like there's a bit of nostalgia going around on ECF this weekend. My wife bought me my first one, a Red Dragon small carto style for Christmas 2009. It worked ok, and I used it in places where I couldn't smoke. I later bought a pen style m401 which was much better but it was the XHaler that got me to quit. I also bought one of the first Tornado kits which I still use as a backup but the Darwin and Reo Grand are my mains now. I've been smoke free for almost 18 months now and have no desire to go back.

At first a girl at work had one. She gave me the website. I'm not going to name the company because this is not the place. But lets say I emailed them 4 weeks after i ordered and was told the order will be here 3 weeks after i ordered. By the way, it took 3 weeks to get that email reply. So I did my research, and found a company with good standings in customer service and found Apollo. They were a great stepping stone. I have my ego and box mod, but I still carry around my Apollo. It is small and trustworthy.

I first heard about e-cigs from an ad for Blu, read about it but didn't really do anything about it. A year later my good friend/co-worker got a blu e-cig and i tried it, it wasn't that bad but i wasn't going to be buying one for their outrageous price. Finally, I tried to quit smoking yet again this spring, and by mid summer i was going insane. So i started researching e-cigs because i would feel less guilty about my nicotine habit. Lo-and-behold i stumbled upon ECF and learned everything from here. I ended up getting a mega t-rex starter kit and later on an ego passthrough (i still use both). I've been lurking on the forums for the past few months, figured i might as well get with it and register :p

I am curious how everybody heard about e cigs and what there first one was.I will start it off I heard about them from my dad. My first one was from a mall kiosk .

Well, I had first seen an e-cig in the mall but when I started thinking about it more and more. I first heard about them a year before that in 2007 when I seen it on the news as a new alternative to smoking. Decided to give them a try when I bought a 51TRIO. Which was horrible........

A couple friends of mine had 'em. I didn't even want to mess with 'em for a LONG time. Then money started getting worse so I decided to try on of the 'free trials'. That was BS. It was a Smoke51 Duo. I sent that thing back QUICK. I got my KR808D-1 from mvs and that's what I've been using ever since.

A freind of mine at work got a eGo. He let me try a few puffs and it seemed pretty good. He pointed me to to the ECF web site and I spent about 10 hours reading up on Ecigs. A local flee market had a vender that sold Ecigs so both my wife and I went to check them out. Wife bought a Joye 510 kit and I got an eGo kit. After 42 years of smoking we both had completely quit analog cig's in 4 days. That was 10 months ago. My wife got tired of the short Battery life on the 510 so She now has an eGo too. We both switched to using the Type A cone Low Resistance atomizer with cartidges. I just bought my first mod, a Buzz Pro. I'm loving that thing !! Ecig have been a true life changing experience for both of us. We had pretty much resigned ourselves to eventually dieing of a smoking related illness. The wife had a bad cough and I weezed for 30 minutes every night when I went to bed. After less than a month of Vaping the wife was no longer coughing, I didn't weez anymore. We both had tried to quit using all the patches, gums etc. We even went and got hypnotized once. Nothing worked. We both now feel great, smell everything including how nasty smoke actually smells. Both of us can honestly say we don't miss analog cigs at all. I'm truely enjoying vaping and if I vap til I'm 80, well I'm good with that :) The ECF has been a true resource for any question I've had about vaping. I went to VaperCon and had the time of my life. I got to meet many of the folks that I watch online for reviews, like Grimm Green, Spiky, Flip and many more. In person they are all down to earth folks and just the best people you would ever meet.
