first ever was a white "510 yetti" e-cigarette. we called them cig-a-likes. bought mine from a really shady tobacco shop, and it was actually used! He let everyone and their mother try it in the shop. (way before drip tip covers lol) I remember using the same atomizer for MONTHS upon MONTHS. I dripped straight into the atty and loved it. I really enjoyed playing with the technology. I would take the drip tip right out and vape straight from the tiny atty, burning my lips. Still remember cutting down trees in my yard, getting sawdust in the atty, and still vaping with it for weeks LOL. Joined ECF in 2009 if I remember right, but I cannot even remember the username or e-mail for that account, so I opened this one in 2012. I was much more mature back then. Was always in the new members forums helping new vapers pick their first set-ups. :p

back when we were all vaping on Silver Bullets, & Lavatubes :D

Ooh, tailpiping. I remember those days although I never took the drip tip off and did that.

My first vape in 2010 was a Joye 510. a little later that year I purchased an eGo and after a year I bought my first Provari and a Kayfun Lite v2.

By the summer of 2012, I had a vivi nova on each of the ego batteries.

The Chinese new year of 2013 had many vendors out of stock on the most popular models of tanks and replacement coil heads. Out of necessity, I learned to recoil the Vivi nova and have been rebuilding ever since.

    Cheers

We should have a "wow" icon. Wow - never saw that first contraption.

I started with a vivi nova on a kamry tube with 'ego' connections. I used that along with either a CE4 or an Iclear16, for a while. Next came the nautilus and istick50, soon followed by the kanger subtank and beyondvape 'smith' mod (ipv3, 165 watts, still works like a champ but it's toooooo big), after that it was off to the races with rebuildables. Or down the rabbit hole, if you prefer. It's been a fine and fun adventure but I've settled in with some 'old' gear that suits me now, of many different forms, basically everything except pod systems.

My first rebuildable was an EHPro Kayfun 3.1. That one kept me satisfied for a couple of years as I experimented with other options. I finally switched to the Kayfun Lite and still vape the KFL on a day to day basis.

I've accumulated a box full of alternative atomizers and some are really good, but the KFL is still one of the most leak proof compared to many of the wannabes. Recently, I've added the Coppervape Skyline and the EHPro True and both of those are close to the Kayfun in leak proof operation. I also like the DoggyStyle for a small tank with good flavor and leak proof operation.

I started using eLight Elite cigalikes way back around 08 or 09 when they first showed up in kiosks. Stuck with them for a ridiculous length of time because there were no vape shops and I never bothered looking on the internet. I thought that's all there was. Spent a fortune on them and managed to cut down from 20 a day to 10. Around 2013 a local head shop started selling Egos and I picked one up. Still took me another year and better gear to quit smoking.

I reckon one day there will be a market for old gear from the early days like there is now for old cigarette packets.
